Well, the more I look at the uniforms the more they grow on me. At first they were just OK, but now I like them more. Still wouldn't buy one because I don't like them enough.
The clutch bear and toy stripes are different than the unis. I like how the bear/toy top elipses come to a point instead of looking like 2 parrallel lines. It looks like overalls and corny/feminine. The white is the worst thing about the uni. Its waaaaay to shiney and way to white. Compare it to the Ameci pic on the homepage here and you will see the difference. OUr white looks like womens victoria secret pajamas instead of a "flat" neutral white like all the other whites in the league. The top stripes dont match the shorts stripes. The shorts stripes come to a point while the tops are separated lines. Makes it look literally like the new name should be "Candycanes". The font is to small on the name ,and front number. If the stripes would be to a point ,or closer to the arm holes,then the name "rockets" could have been made bigger and more masculine. Overall,while they are slightly better than the PJ's,and not as gay as the Nuggets shiney blue,the homes look definately feminine,but the roads are "okay". Still not worth wearing in public though. The font/numbers look TOO simple. While the stripes still look TOO busy kinda like the pinstripes on the old ones. Grade for the PJ's=F Grade for these homes=C- Grade for these roads=B-
This picture shows how simple/feminine the homes really look. These two players Boki/Pike dont exactly strike fear wearing these things. Look like little league uniforms or something. Like I said,the parrallel lines and blinding white is just to rediculous. Didnt everyone in 1995 like the blue Pj;s the first day they came out? I remember all the callers on 610 saying how "futuristic and cool " the blue Pj's were at the time. These new white ones will eventually lose their lustre. Ive consulted a few men and women friends of mine and they all say the same thing I believe.
First They were too gothic, then came the Asian complaint and here recently I have seen the gothic remark making its way back. Now I was thinking the Asian complaint was going to be the next to make a come back, but I see that a new one has popped up...the girly complaint. Will this stick for a while or will another move up to the top?
Maybe they will look better when we seem them actually playing in preseason and see how they look on TV instead of just pictures.
I knew that joke was coming. I just did. Anyways, for the record,the design itself isnt feminine,just the bridal white . For those like me who are lucky to be married you will know this. And I cant believe there are some idiots here who keep emailing me asking for pics. Shows the maturity of the board.
Well, I did state our players look like giant peppermint sticks... but I'm still waiting to see these guys on tv. I originally thought the red uni's were bad and the whites were good... now I may reversing them. Hell who cares if they both suck - I just want the guys in them to win.

I know it's the weekend, but I was hoping that rockets.com will do a better job updating major news such as Yao Ming's arrival in Houston & herhaps provide some exclusive photographs/coverages about the big man's arrival much more quickly. I hope you & your team could work on that area & turn rocket.com into a content-rich site full of latest news & exclusive rockets contents, so people such as myself will make visiting rockets.com a priority instead of other sites such as houstonchronicle.com
I agree 100%. I always liked those and never saw what so many others did. What the hell was wrong with those in the first place? Now we have a logo that includes a dildo.
Maybe the Rockets should have put a hockey mask dripping with blood on the front in order to "strike fear" in their opponents...
The Uni's are obviously a vast improvement from the horrible pin-striped pajamas. The jersey's are fine but the pants are too long. Also, the red jerseys should read Houston instead of Rockets. Listen, lets use these uni's for this season, but you guys get a lot of complaints this year abou them, then for god's sake hurry up and change them. Don't wait around for some big event to get new ones. Go back to the classic red and yellow that we won 2 world championships with. They were obviously good karma. P.S. Everyone on this site has the wrong outlook on basketball and the rockets. just shut the f up and let them play, the season will dictate how good we actually are.
it doesn't matter how "good" they look if they suck. they'll still look like crap. and it doesn't matter how "bad" they look if they're winning...they'll still look good.
