If Coach "McHale" simply took the best players that Morey gave him, played them expected/reasonable minutes and rotations, he would probably have a 6th seeded team looking to move up to 5th or 4th and THEN be considered as a Coach of the Year candidate!

Huh? That exactly what I said. I wouldn't be surprised if he won the award. But that wouldn't necessarily mean he's a great coach either. What are you arguing?

That already has been debunked. White's agent had bad info.

As a Rockets fan, you should know by now, that the coaches aren't major players on front office moves since Rudy's days.

No, it has everything to do with McSuccess endorsing Hardenball (like last match against the mavs), playing utterly stupid small lineups, stupid substitution patterns and living and dying by the three due to lack of real play sets. Asik and Lin not being in the game in the 4th is on McSuccess. Playing Delfino at PF in crunch time is on McSuccess. Not knowing that bench players are bench players because their play is not sustainable over long minutes is also on McSuccess.
But Yea, you're right, he is definitely COTY material. That's why I ceased to call him McFail; guy is so successful that we should give him his props. From now on, he is McSuccess.

As a Rocket's fan, my main concern is what happens on the basketball court during games.

Debunked by who and for what reason...proof?

I'm not required to follow every single thread through out the entire year to consider myself a Rocket's fan.

I have been following this team since 1986 and they have been my favorite team since then no matter what our record was or who the players were.

You're just an LOF that has found Michael. J .Fox DeLorean DMC-12 and has registered back in 2009. You have blown your cover.

I'm not a LOF, by no means. I honestly didn't care if we got him or not. I was hoping to keep Lowry first and then Dragic second.

But I wasn't against getting JLin and I was happy for him and his Linsanity moment.

But long before that discussion arose, I was furious with the way McFAIL played his rotations last year and to me cost us a trip to the playoffs. You can look at some of my posts back then when he would consistently play Patterson at the 5 with Scola to close out games when we had to defensive rebounding shot blockers available to man the center position.

I asked for him to be fired then, but then gave him a new chance in my mind when this year started. He has proven to me that he is what he is, and to me that's not good enough for our current team, with or without JLin.

I agree completely....But yet many here thinks that McSuccess is a legit COTY candidate....They see his dumb rotations and yet think that he is overachieving....
As a sidenote and as I have maintained since the start, Lin is a bad fit with Harden and should be traded away. Only a legit coach can possibly make them mesh, and that's certainly not McSuccess.

I still have my reservation with McFail, but I mean his persistency of playing TD did help secure him as a solid backup to Lin. I think giving Beverley some playing time to develop is only going to better the team in the long run....wish McFail would do the same for James Anderson.

I find it hilarious that the vast majority of the complaints seem to be from members who joined in 2012. I wonder if there is a connection there?

    This is crazy.

Morey should be GM of the year. He created this new team. It's all about Harden, there is nothing to do with McHale.

That they have got good BBALL knowledge and can develop an argument longer than "You're an LOF!" ?

I was thinking something along the lines of dumbass bandwagon fans who dream of sucking on Lin's nuts 24/7. Lin is not a superstar. He is not even a good PG, just an above average one. There should be no discussion on whether or not McHale is right or Lin is right. McHale is the head coach and Lin is just another player that we can easily replace.

I am all for giving McHale his props.....He is McSuccess, great X and O coach, great in-game coaching, knows all about accountability and not throwing his players under the bus after a loss....

I agreed with you on Morey, but I think the success of this team is not purely about Harden. It's a combination of Harden's scoring threat, Parsons improved game, Asik's terrific rebounding, and Lin's play making ability. Harden is an elite scoring and that's a huge threat no doubt in everyone's scouting report, but even without him the team will still be able to rack up points (and have proven this with the SA game). As great a Michael Jordan, a lot of people still forget about Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, and other key players during their championship runs.
