    No.

    try reading.

pistons were down 1 -- t-mac enters and they get blown out.

t-mac was extremely ineffective this game. facts are facts.

When did I say he wasn't ineffective? Try using your own advice.

He didnt play well and coach went with a different combination. end of story. Nontheless his continues progress this season dosent hinge on this game. He'll get better and better like he has been getting. He is now regarded their best player and at the start of the season he was'nt even regarded by many to be even a rotational type player anymore.

I love to see the Pistons use him at the elbow more. He can feed the cutters and alsio have an easy mismatch by posting his smaller opponents.

    which was durvasa's point.

It sounded more like Durvasa's point was that Kuester made the correct choice in not playing Tmac in the second half. I addressed that point in the second half of my post. Don't tell someone it's obvious what the point was when you don't understand what the point was.

See im not trying to have an arguement here with you, im just telling you the facts.

You said yourself that you didn't watch the game, which means that from the data you obtained from the boxscore you believe you can extrapolate how McGrady played and his impact on the game more accurately than me, who actually watched the whole game?

Yeah I get that the pistons sucked while McGrady was on the court, but the pistons also sucked for the 1st and 3rd quarters, where McGrady wasn't playing.

And no I am not blaming the coach for anything, I hope you aren't directing that comment at me, because I said nothing of the sort.

Thats funny, because im a stats major and I can't seem to understand how you concluded that the pistons getting blown out with McGrady on the court makes McGrady being ineffective a "fact"?

Tracy McGrady didn't play in the second half. He said Kuester asked him to start the fourth quarter, but said he was stiff from missing the entire third quarter.

Tracy is clearly NOT READY yet./

back-to-back. As the trainer said, I think it will take mid-season (all star break) to full season for him to consistently stay on the floor

When will he ever be ready?
It's always the same story with t-mac, he has 1-2 "good" games where he shows glimpses of being back and after that he goes back to his passive ways...

People waiting for him to be consistent can still wait a loooonnnnng time...

I'm not trying to have an argument either, but I need to clarify my position because I thought I was pretty clear that how McGrady played, individually, is not relevant to the point I was trying to make.

If a team gets blown out with a player on the floor, and then makes a run with him off the floor, it doesn't make a lick of different how well or poorly he played individually. The fact is, he didn't help his team get a lead and there's no reason to expect his team would have made a bigger run if he was put back in the game. Maybe that player comes out and has a more impactful game next time.

The difference is that the Pistons played the Bobcats evenly in quarters 1 and 3, and they were blown out in quarter 2. I mean, that's a key difference.

Apparently the coach asked if McGrady wanted back in, so its a moot point anyway.

It depends on what we mean by "effective". He wasn't making many plays that led to scores, and the team got blown out by 20 points in 11 minutes.

As someone who watched the game, what do you think he did well in his first half minutes?

Sounds like he still can't play back-2-back.

I think it's really funny that there are still a handful of fanboys obsessed with McGrady.

    He's done.

He made four good passes and his teammates couldn't finish easy layups from under the rim.

Please, shut up if you didn't watch this game

try looking up the stats and ... math... and spell check

oh hell , i'll do it for you

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/gamelog?playerId=532

This week so far( weeks start on Sunday)
    2 games, 17 points. 17/2 = 8.5 points

    last week
    2 games, 21 points. 21/2 = 10.5 points

    so 16 points/game = no.

No, actually he is not done. He has proven that he can be a solid backup player, or maybe even a starter. IMO he'd fit very well in the 2nd units of Boston or Bulls.

Maybe he meant 16 points per week. If so, he was close.
