He's moving like the 2008 playoffs when he had his knee drained and was still scoring at will.

I can't see McGrady succeeding if he's starting with Stuckey.

When McGrady hit 4 threes in the 4th quarter, he was playing with Stuckey and he actually passed the ball to McGrady.

Right now you can say he is around 95% healthly. Really, look at his lift on those jumpshots and compare them to the shots he had in 2007. It is pretty much the same.

Right now, his role is at least clear. Kuester knows they have the best chance with Tracy, and he has PROVEN that. But at the same time you have to play Gordon, Prince because McGrady is only a one year player for them.

But I am suprised with his play. He has really been Pistons' best player past few games.

Tmac isn't going to go 4-4 just because Stuckey is in. He is a point forward, and would be much better suited with a shooter. It's annoying watching when he's out on the court with Gordon and Stuckey, they have no idea how to utilize him.

But if they run the offense through Tmac like they did last night, I'll be thrilled to see him start

he knew he was the man then and the offense revolved around him. if tracy jacked up a ton of shots, he most likely would still average 20 points (but shooting 39-40% though).

hopefully tracy is now a smarter player. he can re-invent his game like he has been and play more in the midrange and midpost.

And if I remember correctly that turnover wasn't really a travel like they called, could be wrong. Still need to see how he can run the offense against an elite defensive team though.

just to add, that gliding layup that he did, there may be still be only a HANDFUL of players who can do that.

it would be bitter sweet if tracy can recover his all-star game and close out his career with some playoff success. hopefully he's motivated.

well I think tons of players today can do the jumping part of the move he made haha. And I bet a lot of guys can make that move with their strong hand it was the fact he did it with his weak left hand that is the impressive part. As a lefty myself that was a very impressive extension he did with his 'weak' hand and still had the strength to finish..

15 points in one quarter

Isn't there a bet or something someone lost because of this game?

McGrady played with a swagger — as if he owned the game.

"Some days I feel really good and feel really confident," he said. "And you have some of those days where you are like, 'Dang, you just don't got it.'

"I am trying to get that on a consistent basis on how I felt today. It's all getting that feeling back that I used to have every game. It's coming here and there, but I like where I'm going now."

    From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20101223...et-Rip-roaring-win-over-Raptors#ixzz191113gZe

Hope he gets that good feeling on a more consistent basis.

Why is 15 ppg the benchmark for anything?

I think t-mac will join a contender next season as a sixth or seventh man and probably put up about 9-10 points per game and be used more as someone who can help teams against pressure defenses. He could be a good fit for a team like L.A. which could use him as a big point guard to alleviate double teams on Kobe. I could also see him fitting in well with Chicago or Oklahoma.
