Yes I understand all of this, but this doesn't relate to me stating the correct facts about the NBA and Tracy.

You don't have to love Hakeem, but you have to respect him.

Did you see that Sixers vs Toronto playoff series?
Do you know that Tmac left Toronto that year, by his own choice?

The specific thread you quoted, I was responding to a Tmac fans who said he wouldn't know if Tmac would make a difference, but in his prime tmac was a monster..

Guess what? Tmac in Orlando was a monster (that year).

It's not about Tmac anymore, it's about people claiming to be Tmac fans and not making any argument that makes any factual sense.

I understand there are tons of Tmac fans.

I wasn't really responding to the thread I was quoting !! Sorry didn't make that clear. But I really don't like your blatent blanket on Tracy Mcgrady fans. It seems because of your utter contempt of the player you will go out of your way to make his fans feel pathetic.

Fine but I don't think its really necessary on this thread and this forum.

Back on topic you don't also seem to recognise that the bloke could actually possibly be an impact player in the NBA be it off the bench or as a playmaker. Yes you are right 2 pts a night is rubbish. But the signs are encouraging (but then you never know with T-mac) but from the video it definetely looks like his moving ALOT better then he was for two years.

Come on man, your an avid basketball fan, let your mind speak not your heart.

when did I say he looked horrible or wasn't an impact in his last game? I just said I wouldn't act like Luke blew up the Death Star (Star Wars).

Good point, but more to the point I would like to know what you REALLY feel about his possible impact on the NBA based on the videos

Whenever I see tinman bashing Mcgrady with a undying passion, I just sit back and laugh. Guys, don't you get it? With all the time and effort of bashing that tinman does on T-mac it's evident that he's either:

    1. Butt-hurt over Mcgrady's time in Houston.

    2. Just plain hates the guy.

    3. Still depressed that Hakeem is not playing anymore.

Personally, I think it's all three..

So like I said, I just sit back and laugh and think to myself, "hey what has tinman accomplished? Has he scored 13 points in 35 seconds in a nba game? Has he scored 13 points in 35 years in a nba game? Has he dunked over a 7 foot 5 guy in a PLAYOFF game? Has he made millions of dollars playing the game he loves?"

The answer to those are of course, no.

What tinman has accomplished is to continually bash a player who doesn't even know he exists, or gives a damn about.

that's last ditch effort to ignore any facts given to an argument:

"Hey but compare [player] to person posting facts"

You haven't done any of that either.

    Tmac fans here have:

suggested that Tmac's number be retired in Houston
suggested Tmac is/was better than Kobe
    suggested Tmac is/better than Shaq
suggested Tmac is the reason for the 22 game winning streak
suggested Tmac's failures were never his fault
    compared Tmac to Michael Jordan
    compared Tmac to Brett Favre

failed to acknowledge Tmac's bridge burning with every organization he's been with
failed to acknowledge Tmac's exit from houston was entirely his fault

    shall I go on?

I don't think anyone invited you to this thread. If Tracy bothers you that much, then ignore all Tracy related threads before you suffer a stroke or something. It's not healthy to be so obsessive.

That's like saying, just because DD has 50,000+ posts his post quality should be the greatest on the BBS.

There is no correlation between general posting etiquette and years of membership.

Parts in bold I have never said. Hell most of those make no sense.. Favre? wtf are you smoking?

Tmac was a BIG reason there was even a 22 game win streak, don't be ignorant.
Tmac's exit from Houston was not entirely his fault because it takes to to tango.

If you wanna continually bash Mcgrady thats on you. Hell, most of the posts in this thread are by you.

i do post about the Pistons.
when you guys were jumping for Tmac's dunk, I felt that the Pistons blowing a 25 point lead was more of the true story.

I came back here and T-mac didn't have a crappy game, he had his best game as a Piston. And I came back to reply to bongo33, but all you guys kept asking me questions so I kept replying. And I used facts. you know, things that really happened, not hypothetical questions.

you can call it whatever you want. I don't hate McGrady, but if someone tells me that Toronto wasn't better after Tmac, I'll them... the facts.

    This.
Reading all the back and forth between posters on this thread is pretty funny....I agree this statement most though....I liked t-mac as a player but a lot of his fans really don't look at the facts when discussing Mcgrady sometimes...

If it were a Piston's game thread ALONE. True. But It's a McGrady/Pistons Reg. season thread.

At the time Tracy wasnt overratted he was what he was a ok player when left Toronto. But you may have a point that Tracy could have helped in the semifinals against the Sixers.

Another thing I dont think Vince was overrated at the time either lets not forget he was one shot away froming being in the finals because I think they would have beating the Bucks that year.
