you must have gotten the Inception blu ray recently.

I'm pretty sure 99.9 percent of Bulls fans don't think about tmac or his last team, the KNICKS, 100 percent of their fans don't think about him either.

it's like you went into their dreams and replaced the Jordan statue with statue of Tracy wearing an Orlando Magic jersey.

that there would indicate that this is some fake ass dream, no way you get to the 2nd level of the dream at all.

Bogans beat out Brewer and Korver, two solid SGs.

TMac shows some flashes but you can't count on him for 30 minutes a night. His head's not in the game anymore....it might never have been.

There's a video in this thread showing where T-Mac goes from halfcourt, takes about 3 long strides and lays the ball up during a dead ball situation.

That right there is amazing and if T-Mac would do that every time he would be getting more minutes. It's too bad that he's content with what he's accomplished throughout his career.

    they didnt want him.

    they didnt want him either.

mcgrady didnt end up in detroit w/ a minimum contract b/c thats where he wanted to be.

t-mac would make the bulls 30 light years better!

Actually, I thought that post was pretty funny. Not because McGrady was the punchline.

I think a lot of folks need to get a grip on the fact that McGrady:
Does not have the footspeed or quickness to be anything more than a bench role player
    Is a marginal defender
    Is a poor shooter
Is not going to be in the league much longer

Too many folks are judging him relative to his last two seasons instead of to typical NBA players. If you honestly rank him among swingmen, he'd be something around #45.

It's nice to see that he won't go out hobbling like last year, but no one's going to make a serious push for a 6-3-3 guy in this league.

he's a 6-3-3 guy b/c his role is not completely defined, and he plays with guys that are all about stats.

in a right situation, i can foresee him putting up 10-12ppg, 4, 5.

physically right now, he can put up double digits on a consistent basis

That's what people don't realize. He is healthly and looks healthly. He can get past defenders off the dribble with ease and he can make athletic plays (he's had 4 nice dunks already).

    The problem is.

    a) his role and minutes
    b) his attidue
    c) the fact that he is losing every single game.

I think once you put him on a winning squad and give him consistent role and minutes, he will do just fine,

Enough playmaking BS. Take the ball and control the game because no other Piston possesses even a bit of basketball IQ.

    yes.

I entertain them, they entertain me by implying that NBA contenders' fans are randomly thinking of Tmac.

oh he should be on the Celtics! oh he should be on the Lakers! he's better than Luke Walton!

He's "light years" ahead of Keith Bogans!

Whatever! Even Captain Kirk and Mr Spock won't give him a ride to the 2nd round of the playoffs, they'd rather pick up ET!

He once was a Jedi, now he moves around like C3PO, maybe the Ewoks will make them their king!

you're the only reasonable 'follower' here, and you are right on most points.
however, the whole fiasco with the Rockets and to some extent the Knicks not resigning him has scared teams away.

think about valuable role players during the years, I think James Posey and Michael Petrius come to mind. does he fall under that category?

    Wow, thanks tinman.

As to your point. Does he? I don't know it is to early to tell. He is not as good defender as Posey is and he is not as good shooter as Pietrus is. But he has the passing and scoring skills that those guys don't.

If he agress to have lesser role and agrees to play less minutes I think he may fall into that category, I really do.

The problem with Tracy is that he's completely bipolar. One minute it's "I'm good to go, give me more minutes", then it's "My knee is sore, I do not want minutes."

It's been the case last year, and the year before. In Houston Tracy wanted to play BADLY. Then in New York he complained about his knee. It's like the guy can't judge his own body. That's why I'm so hesitant to believe him when he says he is back this year. The guy is surrounded by doctors and medical staff 24/7 but doesn't even know if he's ready to play?

he's been up to 27-28 minutes several times this year and has no complaints. obviously he's not ready for 30 minutes until mid-season per detroit's trainer. my problem is he doesn't even get 15-20 minutes consistently.

keuster's reason is b/c of blowouts?? well, what better time for tracy to get himself back than in games where detroit has big leads? the toronto game last night was a prime example. he was playing well and they had a huge lead. in these games, tmac should get some more time just to get himself back. he had only played 9 minutes.

Highlights of Tmac against the Raptors. Also Dorsey's defending him

you know what is funny to me.

the last game mcgrady played (sat. night) he had 6 points...

there were 15 posts made during and immediately after the game hyping up mcgrady and his "contributions".

that is 2.5 posts for every point he scored...

and the TOFs tell us we are the ones who are obsessed.
