I think it's there, but he's not shooting enough.

I took a look. In 13 plays, McGrady shot 6 of 9 from the field (very good) and had 4 turnovers (not so great). No trips to the foul line, and that doesn't include pick-and-roll plays where he passed it (either to an open guy or because he was covered and had no where to go). Without knowing that, its hard to gauge his effectiveness, but I will say he shot the ball better than I expected.

I dont know if you've watched him play too much, but it seems like hes trying very hard to avoid injury.

He seems scared to jump off his left leg.

That was sickening. There are a couple players on our current team (same position, in fact) that would do the same thing, though.

it's too small of a sample of course to judge either his shot or anything else. a lot of it could be timing issues, who the heck knows. i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I can't belive what I am seeing. He looks healthly, he runs ok but he does nothing. He's touched the ball like 3 times only. Other than that he is STANDING IN THE FREAKING CORNER. I know his role is not to score many points, but how about giving at least minimum effort?

Coach sees that and benches his ass. I love that.

You're gonna stand and watch your teammates compete? You're not playing.

    LOVE THAT

    Do you mean "epithaph"?

I think many epithets have already been written about T-Mac (at least on this board).

Lol watching Tmac play is making me really sleepy

He's like in a pickup game, standing the corner holding his knees, jog back and forth and that's about it

If he doesnt have the motivation to play, retire already

That's what I am talking about.

Look. The first thing for him was to get healthly. Allright. I can understand why he wasn't agressive last year - he wasn't healthly.

But this year he IS healthly. Normally after being a player he was, a normal person would like to show something to prove people he is back. He has shown slashes but that's all. It's not the case about Tracy. He won't bother to attack and actuall try something.

He just stands in the corner. I'd stand there too for 1 million!

You'll see a lot of guards "stand" in the corner - it's called spacing. Coach runs an offense and with Detroit you will notice there is a guy standing in the corner on many plays even when t-mac is not in the game. That's the dude who is there to space the court and be able to shoot the trey in case the other team double teams low too aggressively.

Usually it means you aren't a guy they are expecting to take a shot either.

Guards that space the floor should not have their hands on their knees...

I think he meant guards who are spacing out on the floor
