Dude, even when I cut your post down to the moments when you read "our" minds, it's longer than my post! Are u saying ur dong is like . . . longer than mine?

I'm afraid you're "guilty of being human." You see, only a human could claim to know: why fans worship, who McGrady really is, why we love, why we would love, what we would have been OK with, how much research people did, whether Clutch writes from the heart, what we prefer, what we thought, whom we exonerate, what nobody expects, what the Rockets thought, who gives a damn.

I wasn't going to post this . . . I knew you could read it in my mind. But the haterz evidently suck at reading everyone else's minds, so this goes out to those non-mind-reading guilty humans.

Well, sirbaihu, you know what they say about guys making up for..."inadequecies"...by overcompensating in other areas......

All I ever really meant to say in regards to this, is that people prefer their sports teams to WIN. We tend to absolve alot of "deviant" social behavior with pro players, on average, if they give us a chance to win.

In many ways, both Shane Battier and Tracy McGrady are better at looking the part (from different perspectives) then they are at DOING their part. But it's okay if Battier fails, because everybody knows he's not going to be the largest reason why you'd win.

I never said that anyone who dislikes or hates or wishes Tracy McGrady ill wasn't entitled to those feelings. I never meant to speak for anybody else, in regards to how I think they should feel about him.

    Tomato, to-MAH-to......

...I guess I just wonder which is more true—the Tracy McGrady we saw for a couple of months toward the end of the 2007-2008 season, and for six games during that postseason....or the one we saw effectively prostrate on half of Toronto's court a few months later.......

...I mean, I realize one happened and one didn't.....

.....just would like an answer....any one will do.....

...promise not to read your mind....

So before when he scored 30 points people ripped him for being selfish and now when he passes the ball to others he's ripped for not scoring?

I mean, I just am curious what you want from a guy in 7 minutes??

you obviously aren't following him this year dude.

you should read and watch what the others are saying here, you are blindly defending him again.

when did he come close to 30 points? hint: not in a long time

even the TOFs are just watching to see if he's 'improving'.

I think he was talking about scoring 30 in HOU or ORL.

Cool. Well I'm not totally clear on the question, but my answer is an old one. I gave enough devotion to T-Mac. I went to the press conference when he first came to Houston, I spent lots on tickets to see him and the Rockets play, watched hundreds and hundreds of hours on TV. . . . So I'm not a born hater.

But I gradually came to believe that he lacked heart, didn't respect the fervor of his fans. He doesn't have to care about his own career or legacy, but he was sure getting paid to be a franchise player, and he should have come through by doing that, even if he didn't care about the fans.

Battier tries harder. That's all. That's why I like him more. Chuck Hayes the same, Landry from before, Lowry, even Artest tried harder than T-Mac.

When T-Mac insisted he was 100% last year while still on the Rockets, he justified our evaluation of that claim. He still hasn't got out from under the cloud of his own claim.

Let’s be honest, a healthy McGrady is the best player the Pistons have

    True. Maybe except Gordon

Stuckey is awful decision maker, Prince is third-fourth option on a solid team, Rip declined. Charlie V is just a Sixth Man and nothing more

mac looks good tonight. the guy needs more minutes and shots. but he plays with so many ballhogs. he needs to start ballhogging, esp in games like these where they are going to lose anyways.

If that's the case, Tmac should dominate in practice, and I don't see why coach won't give him more minutes.

That's why Tracy in Detroit was a bad fit. I understand him and agree. 7 minutes, now 15. It is kinda silly especially when he looks pretty healthly to all of us.

But look at their roster. Most of players are SG SF which means there are no minutes. It is what it is, only Detroit gave him a chance. He looks fine he can do much more but I guess it is pretty difficult to show something when you play 15 minutes.

Until Prince or Tay get traded that's what we will keep seeing I belive.

And with the way Prince is playing there is are NO MINUTES for him.

This year is pretty much a test trial for McGrady. If he shows that he can still be productive next year he should get a lot of interest.

i've seen him play this year.

i'm so freaking happy we got Kevin Martin and Jordan Hill instead of that guy.

I would take Landry + T-mac over Martin + Hill.

But ya know what, that's me. And I can respect people who prefer Martin & Hill. I think Landry was far far better than Hill. And I think T-mac may not score as much as Martin, but his distribution skills, rebounding, and ability to draw double teams makes up for some of it.

I've seen the dude play quite a bit as I record the Piston games on LP and watch his portions. The only thing he is missing is confidence. He looks good in every other regard. He's back physically.

I forgot to mention the draft picks but that's another post in the future to show what a freaking deal we got.

the Knicks are happy too, they are winning with Amare and they didn't resign McGrady either.

    Win Win for all.

Nah, you're wrong. Now way Martin+Hill for McGrady+Landry is fair.

At least Martin can score. I know he plays no defense but he will get you those 20+ points on any given night and he will shoot pretty high%. He doesn't need to pass, because he is a scorer. So now, with Lowry as a starter Martin works just fine.

As for McGrady, he hasn't showed he can score at all this year. His defense has been very good but he wouldn't change the entire team by himself, especially on defense. With Brooks back it would make more sense because Brooks scores and McGrady passes.

don't forget the knicks and d'antoni didn't want him.

the knicks offense is all green light and scrubs like quentin richardson could score 30 points in.

the knicks actually kept steve francis longer than mcgrady
