i'm not saying he is the player that he used to be. i just don't understand why many rockets fan hate t-mac and act like t-mac owes us anything.

all the t-mac haters who are "rockets fans" just need to appreciate all that he has done for our organization.

    We appreciate what he did.

We just didn't appreciate how he acted in his season with the Rockets. Did You?

    i sure do.

he just had too much fire and passion for the game so he wanted to be on the court competing, even if he was not 100% healed. that's just how much heart he had.

Rockets fans hate T-Mac because of this.

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TjbkXewxlGI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TjbkXewxlGI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I agree that there are much more good memories of T-Mac than bad ones, problem is that the Toronto game is the lasting memory that many Rockets fans have of him.

You bash The Rockets every chance you get. Which is fair considering how bad they are this year. What if Clutch told you that you weren't allowed to say anything negative about the Rockets because this is a Rockets board? And the Rockets have provided the city of Houston so many good memories that they don't owe us anything. That you need to quit "hating" on the Rockets because they brought the city two championships. That would be ridiculous wouldn't it?

That is pretty much what you tell every Rockets fan that "hates" on T-Mac.

Then why tell everyone he is 100% healed?

Too much fire and passion for the game? LMAO.

Watch that Toronto game, even if he was hampered by injury, where is the fire? where is the passion?

Look back at this thread. You knocked on the Rockets for getting to the 2nd round of the playoffs. You knocked on them for not accomplishing anything in the past 10 years. I'm sure since you go to nearly every game that you are dissatisfied with them this year, as most of us are. Why should T-Mac be immune to criticism because he did good things in the past but the Rockets organization isn't?

Should the Rockets receive a free pass because they won back to back championships? Of course not. Should T-Mac receive a free pass because of 13 in 35, dunking on Bradley, 22 win streak, and among other memories? Of course not. But according to you, Rockets fans aren't allowed to voice their displeasures of T-Mac.

I don't hate Tracy. He's a dumbass with a gimp leg, but I just assume he didn't know any better.

But that is just the most unintentionally hilarious comment on this thread. Haha.

this video was made by Clutchfans and the article attached to it was written by Clutch.

I've been on this board since it's genesis. One thing has be constant, Clutch has been the voice of the true Rockets fan.

if others post a suspiciously different recollection of events in Rockets history, read Clutch's article and you will know what is true.

    The thing I noticed:

"One game I'm gonna show flashes, the other game I will not show up at all"

    That was the killer. Excuses

Tmacs cool in my book. Everyones allowed to be cocky/confident/failures/whiners sometimes. With the continuous hate he gets on this board, youd think he's on lebrons level of douchebaggery. Tmac cried cuz we lost to the jazz, thats some kinda heart.... lebron.... well, he just wants you to check his stats

Lebron is better than Tmac though. Cleveland fans are mad because they know they've been to the Finals before with him. Also Lebron is from the area and he left.

Nobody really hates Tmac, the criticism is for the fans who believe he did no wrong and the fans who gave Tmac too much credit/excuses for team success/failures.

Tmac never embarrassed the entire city like LeBron did with "the decision", but he did embarrass the Rockets by putting him above the team.

Sometimes the Tmac fans get the word "HATE" and "TRUTH" mixed up.

That's all okay, but it's rather unfair if he is to be faulted for all the playoff failures.

Besides two years ago, Yao has been the one letting the Rockets down. T-mac did everything he could, until his body started giving up on him. But the reason his knee was injured in this first place was because he wanted to play in the playoffs even though we had little chance of making it far.

The year we won 22 in a row was the same year McGrady initially injured his knee. Yao was out then, but we were clearly in the playoff picture (but not in the contention picture). McGrady had a choice of sitting out or playing, but he chose to play instead to give the fans something to watch.

So yes, two years ago what he did was wrong, but the organization mishandled the situation as well. Both sides messed up, so both sides decided to go their separate ways.

McGrady made a mistake but this board acts like he was a Marbury. McGrady was the reason we were a 50+ win team for the past several years that he played regularly in. So yes, we can nail him to the tree of woe for what he did two years ago, but he what he did for the organization far outweighs what he did against it.

We see our Rockets struggle so much today. So far below .500 and so far from even thinking about contention despite being "deep" and with loads of "talent".

I for one would love to have Yao and T-mac back on the same team. Maybe they will never be what they used to, but still despite their flaws it was still a combination that had us dream of contention and gave us some hope.

I think T-mac has his flaws, but there still is only a few players in this league that can do what he can do today. Outside of Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Roy, and perhaps a few others, how many players can take the ball and play jump-shooter, penetrator, and passer all at the same time?

I would only pick Lebron and Kobe over T-Mac in his prime.
