**Official McGrady/Pistons 2010 Regular Season Thread**

I'm sure you're familiar with the (somewhat) valid excuse for McGrady, which is injury. Martin is apparently 100% healthy, what's his excuse?

 

Are you saying he will do this multiple times or just once?

 

well I'm not talking about now obviously, but my problem looking at Martin play with Yao and Brooks and Battier and etc....is this it just doesn't look good. When T-mac was healthy (circa 2006/2007/MAYBE 2008) it looked good. He fit with Yao. I was all for K Mart coming in by he just doesn't fit for some reason in my opinion.

I don't want Mcgrady back now, he can go screw him self. But we need a decent 2 guard who can handle/pass/score like T-mac. Or at least Score and Pass like T-mac. Because right now its not there and we are spluttering. Yao and T-mac say what you want about it, but they were a good duo. It was their sidekicks that sucked balls. Scola came a year late in my opinion. I'm desperate to have someone like Carmelo come. sure he can't even pass or score like T-mac but he can flat out score in isolation.

Back on topic I think his passing game is still one of the best. If he can score consistently in the 10 to 15 pt range he will be a factor in this league. Not as a star anymore but definetely will be somewhere. In fact he would be a great fit off the Rockets bench if the whole rockets organisation/fans didn't hate him so much

Rockets were heading to the lottery after the McGrady trade. It wasn't until Wesley was brought in to fix the defensive issues that the Rockets started rolling.

 

If you compare these two video's His movements almost look better with Detroit this season than in the 2008 play offs where he averaged 27 PPG IMO.

If he was as aggressive on trying to score for Detroit we would probably be seeing different numbers than what are coming up. Of course then again his consistency is still a work in progress with the Pistons.

 

I think he should aim for 20 points a game first?

 

i will bet you $50 to the tipjar that he does not score 20 points in a quarter this season.

the problem is w/ the TOFs who arent man enough to put their money where their mouths are.

i will bet any and all of you that mcgrady will not average 15 ppg this season...so far only trueroxfan is man enough to step up and actually stand for what he believes in.
