If it was even possible, I think he should be on a treadmill walking every time he needs a rest because it seems like his legs stiffen up and he comes back in with limited mobility.

Good game for McGrady. I should say good 2nd period for him. He had probably his best dunk of his season, where I think the elevation was pretty good.

He was making shots which was good to see. But to me his passing skills were the best thing, especially in the 2nd period. He can see a gu on the other side of the court and throw a pass right to him. Amazing.

Than in the 2nd half after missing few shots he was gassed. He wasn't running at all. I guess 28 minutes was still too much. And of course it wouldn't be McGrady if he didn't do something to his left knee at the end of the game.

Overall, good progress but he has to stay healthly and become more consistent.

Thanks for the update. The few highlights I watch here and there, seems like he could have done more to get into better shape in the off season. Or maybe the knee prevented intense excersice? Seems like if he had showed up about 15lbs lighter he would put less stress on his knee.

Yeah I think losing weight would help. But I guess they know better.

Well he played 12 minutes in a row in the 2nd and another 8 straight in the 3rd.

He played well. The Pistons' offense is ugly and Stuckey took so many shots

"I'm trying to be aggressive," said McGrady, who finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists. "Hopefully, when I'm out there, I can be the playmaker and score the ball. It's getting there, but it is still more for a quarter than a whole game."

tmac after the game. again, he won't really be able to do what he can do till mid-season. but again, another good sign from this game.

this was his classic game as a Knick.

He had a good start on O, with bad movement on a floor and no effort on D but then he cooled of and didn't have enough stamina to continuin his job

Hope that the only reason of that is his hurt right foot cause there were no inspired plays for him in this game

If he can play consistent throughout the ENTIRE game, obviously he can get 18 and 6 with minutes.

    But can he play consistently???

And didn't Kander say he should be at full strength by the all star break?

He can but maybe there are no shot opportunities for him

If McGrady would score something around 18 points he probably will have a line like 44-33-70

    Average:
    1-3 from downtown
3-4 from FT or less %

and we have 12 points left so he probably should have something around 13 2pt shots (close, midrange, dunk and layups) and FGA 16 at all

Today he had 7 in the 2Q and couple in the third but Charlie V and BG had only 10 FGA both. Prince get most of his points in 4th and OT and Rip attempted big number of shots too in the same time

It definetely will not happen until one or even two of them are in a team no matter what Tracy form is all about.

    lol

McGrady on LeBron & DWade's probs. "[When] they're on the court together, they're terrible.

I think a better fit for him still would have been the Caveliers

he would have filled the three spot there from the bench well.

Arnie Kander is rated the best trainer in the NBA for a reason. As Tracy said, as the season rolls on, he'll have nights where he will erupt for 20 point quarters. Right now he just needs to get his legs and fitness up.It's a process.
