Battier hated him? I never heard that, haha.

The tinman seems to have a lot of free time. Maybe I should offer him a job...I do have some enemies that need harassing.

Had a look at McGrady's stats, the guy is doing all right. I didn't think he'd create a niche for himself in the league, he's getting it done. Good on him.

Over glorified role player have you watched him play lately. H isnt a star anymore, but he is still a very good player. He was destroying Martin easily in the 1st half.

Dude is putting up numbers on a garbage team that isn't even looking to win. He doesn't play a lick of defense.

Kudos to him if he gets an MLE contract because truth be known he isn't even worth that. After he signs one more, he'll probably go back to full tank mode

If Yao is traded, he will be right back in Houston next year. Shouldn't you know this? He will never play a game in another jersey. If he is healthy, he will be with the Rockets, no matter what happens with his salary insured expiring contract.

There are many reasons why Tracy got traded. One of which being that he quit on his teammates, just like he admitted to quitting in Orlando. A man with two severed legs could have shown more passion. When he struggled, he blamed his teammates and his coach for not getting "touches"...

It is classic that some people let McGrady have the injury cop out...

He had an attitude problem. He has a heart problem...

Not a man that you want in the foxhole with you...

At this point McGrady becomes useless IMO. Piustons are losing anyway so why wase time for Tracy when you can develop Daye, Bynum and Summers?

Tracy has never been an energy player. Pistons need that, they need energy.

And I am concerned about his scoring. He has to find way to put the ball in the basket if he wants to play big minutes on a contender

Look, I'm not trying to go TOFOH here, but the reinvention of history is a little much.

He didn't want to see how it would do in game situations...he undermined Adelman and the front office in early November by publicly declaring he was going to play Nov 18 (2009) despite the team telling him and the media that he was going to be inactive until AFTER he had a Nov 23rd MRI to evaluate the condition of his knee - and would proceed from there.

Shades of how he undermined the team publicly announcing his surgery in Feb 2009 without informing the team before hand - torpedoing his trade to NJ. There was back and forth about that with McGrady denying everything, but Adelman was very clearly infuriated and Morey likewise peeved.
    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6268327.html

Before that, it was McGrady dictating to Adelman and the team when he would or would not start, insulting refusals to put effort on defense including but not limited to the infamous Toronto game, and griping about his touches despite the worst shooting percentages of his career.Bear in mind this was the most loaded team McGrady had been on to date. He refused to take a backseat and ease himself back. It's not that he was injured...it was that he handled his injury in the worst conceivable way.

And have been public about wanting to still bring him back this summer - trading him is simply about trying to get an asset to help usher in the new era.

    False, false, false.
Les Alexander in particular spelled out that he was NOT interested in trading McGrady because of health issues; that he wanted him to stay

Morey and Adelman were sick of his petulant act and it took his last hoorah of childish tantrums in Dec 2010 to get Les to sign off.

The rumblings were that Battier, Artest, Yao, and at least half the locker room were irritated by his act in 2008/2009 and felt like the team was being hijacked by his in and out act, his open coasting on D, and his perimeter, black hole, inefficient volume shooting offense.
