it's pointless to you because you probably don't know who bill walton or clyde drexler are and wouldn't care to share your experiences with the rest of the clutchfans. I'm happy to have met fans in china. it's all part of being a Rockets fan knowing that they have fans all over the world.

you are reading them right? if you didn't care you wouldn't.

you realize the whole point of clutchfans bbs is to voice opinions and share experiences.

none of you have done any of that. it's great and dandy that you met nba players and you like tracy mcgrady, but meaningless if you don't share them.

go ahead and question my fandom of the Rockets, cause this is a Rockets board and i've been here since the beginning and I've got a large number of posts.

you know who's derailed this thread ? that's you!
questioning my fandom so I answered.

Not because of my ego, but I'm giving you threads you probably never read and you are reading them.

it's now another day and none of you fools are talking about tracy mcgrady in detroit, just tinman in clutchfans.

is it that easy just to state that Tracy McGrady doesn't belong in the same sentence as Lebron and Kobe to set the TOFs off?

    answer. yes.

he quit the Rockets, he didn't want to play with them anymore and demanded a trade.

his 'rehab' took about 2 years and he kept falsely stating 'i'm back' several times.

that's the point they are making.

I wouldn't call McGrady an underdog. he was the highest paid player in the league and never produced compared to the other highly paid players.

this had NOTHING to do you being a young fan.

and please don't compare him to Hakeem. he played for almost 2 decades for the Rockets.

if you followed the Rockets, you know exactly what happened and you know exactly why people at toyota center booed him. was it justified? that's your opinion, but you should at least understand theirs.

And you wonder why when the TOFs think they should retire his jersey at Toyota center, people here would go off on them?

you don't have to be young to figure that out on why there's no way in hell he would have his number retired. In Houston or Orlando or any other team.

tell them the truth. but if you keep telling them the truth tcadriel, they are going to question your clutchfans credentials!

you are right, there are tons of great stories in the nba. look at Paul Pierce, he stuck it through Boston when times were tough and didn't have issues with management and coaching.

he finally was rewarded with a championship.

Wrong. I give damn about my time. I have to look up anything valuable, because you are littering the thread with your holy crusade. My time is definitely worth my time.

you may belong in that category judging by your extreme reactions.

I'm reacting like any Rocket fan who's seen the entire scenario/era come and go.

It has nothing do with me being a young fan? Really? Of course it does! I'm not old to have said:' yeah I was there when Hakeem did this or Jordan that'. In the early 90s I was a toddler learning english.

And also, something that made Hakeem great was his humility, i don't think he'd care on bit who is compared to him, especially if the comparison makes sense. The comparison being, Hakeem inspired and made passionate fans in the late 80's and early 90's, Tracy did the same for me since he was able to obviously do the same for basketball fans In the late 90's and 2000's. That comparison Is legit, I'm not comparing their foot work or game.

Of the posts I've made, the last several which are specifically in this thread have been lengthy and yet you seem to pick out small details and incoherently argue them. You know what's not a Houston fan? Someone who churns out the honest hate of someone beyond a sports rivalry like our own Jazz and Rockets rivalry or with former players.

Did you even read my other posts? They're all full of respectful responses and insight and yet you ignore it and will argue the small things.

If I were a Houston Rocket I'd hate to have you as a fan, someone so hateful, inforgiving and stubborn

^Yes I do think you're ignorance is to that extent.

What the hell does MLK have to do with this?

TOFs you are stooping to a new low.

You don't have to be an old person to know that Tracy McGrady NEVER won anything significant for the Rockets.

And you don't have to be a young person to see the freaking BANNERS and STATUE of Hakeem in front of Toyota Center.

Since you TOF brought this up,

I have a Dream, one day that Clutchfans would be free of the TOFs!
that all Clutchfans are Rockets fans.

I have a Dream, that everyone on this board actually knows who the hell the Dream is!

    Glory Glory Hallelujah

I'm just using Dr.King's example to rebuke your ignorance.

I know who dream is, I met the great. He's an amazing player and I believe a once in a century person. NO post player past, present or future will have the remote credibility of skills that that man had in the post.

I'm not a TOF or whatever; I'm a Houston Rockets fan who happens to love Basketball. As a person I also like to promote tolerance and peace as opposed to ignorance and hate.

The idea of this thread is a T-Mac game analysis thread. The heat and other NBA teams have one have one and other players have them as well.

what it really is that the TOFs want to me acknowledge Tracy as player who deserved the same adulation as Hakeem. That's never going to happen.

they want me to see through their eyes that Tracy is an underdog and victim of bad luck for his lack of team success. That's never going to happen.

They think I'm Captain Kirk and that I'd make peace with the Klingons.

They are LIGHT YEARS away from the Undiscovered Country.

The last few pages are me basically letting them attacking me and telling them to come on board the Enterprise (NCC-1999)

    come on board TOFs...

Uttering Hakeem Olajuwon and Tracy Mcgrady in the same breath is the purest form of ignorance.

You're comparing a HOFer to a guy that, minus a couple of scoring titles, did nothing in this league.
