Well are you hurt that he is gone? i thought so. Idont think many others are either. it worked out well for all parties after it had turned into a explosive situation.

He has been outstanding on defense year and has been going after the loose balls. so the guy was right that he has been active ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL.

IHMO Tmac with KM wouldn't work as well as Kmart/Lee or Battier because Tmac doesn't have the drive to be a good defender. Even in his prime when he was healthy enough to shut a lot of people down defensively Tmac wasn't a consistent defender except in a few instances (such as with the game on the line, against a high profile team, etc.). Melo I think would pretty much be the same, unless RA could motivate Melo into being a defensive hound.

tmac is a good defender. but since the rocket's past rosters relied too much on him to carry the offensive load, he starts to slack on the defensive end to conserve energy. i think that's why they brought in shane, so tmac can concentrate on offense and let batman guard the other team's best perimeter player.

this year, tmac isnt the primary scoring option, all he's asked to do on the offensive end when he's not the facilitator, is to pick his spot, space the floor and allow the other players to do what they want with the ball, if they give it to him, he passes, shoots or tries to drive. and since he's not spent on the offensive end, he has a lot more energy for defense.

i think it's really best to start tmac as the facilitator to get the pistons into their groove. sit him down for the 2nd quarter and early third, put him back in and let him stay the 4th.

kuester needs to stabilize his rotation.

Funny thing if you're a Pistons fan, in the East right now, you can have their record and only be 2 games out of the 8.

Key word Tinman - WAS. I don't really see a cheaper 2 guard out there that can bring what he brings. Your comparing Chris Paul and Carmelo to getting Mcgrady onto the squad.

Which coincidentally would probably mean we would have to sign a swingman/combo point anyway if we ever traded for Melo.

I don't rate Melo with KM. I just don't see Melo passing to KM that effectively. He essentially needs a good passing point forward, or a good passing point guard. Chris Paul on the other hand............solid pick up and could start us on the road to a championship.

Back on topic, I think T-mac could be looking to sign for a contender next year. He would have been a perfect fit on the Miami second unit, or even the Celtics second unit. Ironically the other place he could possibly fit is Chicago, although with the defence his showing he probably wouldn't get minutes wiht TT.

I always thought that T-mac had it in hiim to mature and play this kind of game. He has so many weapons and is pretty smart, but has always had problems communicating to others. Looks like he's found himself a home in Detroit. I don't think he will stay there as he's hungry for a ring.

I'm glad to see him shake off a lot of the labels as him being selfish, lazy, and a quitter. Clearly the guy has worked hard to get himself back into a starter role in this league.

McGrady hasn't shaken any negative labels during his short stint in Detroit. Don't fool yourself. If he keeps his act together, shuts up some (not likely), stays healthy and contributes to a contending team going deep in the playoffs, then the discussion will start. Even so, it won't erase everything that's already happened in his career. The selfish, lazy and quitter labels don't go away easily (deservedly so).

so you think or want t-mac to sign with a different team after this team is giving him what he wants?

he's had some good games recently but the nba season is long.
