I actually appreciate what Schaub did for this franchise. He provided this team with some very competent qb play. His passer rating from 2008-2012 was always above 90. You could easily argue that over that period of time he was a top 8 quarterback in this league.

He has also done a lot more in this league than guys like Bradford, Stafford, gabbert who have more physical gifts and talent in their pinkies than he has in his body.

It may not have ended well for him but don't forget how dominant this offense times with him and kubiak. And don't forget how bad things were under Carr.

Thank you Schaub for throwing an interception at the end, it was beautiful and poetic and I nearly shed a tear. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I really do appreciate Schaub, and he did overachieve in this league. His physical gifts should have relegated him to backup, but he lead some of the most potent offenses in the league. During his best days as a Qb we were hampered with the worst defense in NFL history, and when the defense was great he regressed. IMHO, the Lis franc injury was too much for Schaub. He came back a fringe Qb.

First and last pass of the season were INT's.

    ... Poetic.

He did give us a couple playoff years, so at least his memory won't be on par with the old number 8. I wish him luck elsewhere.

I appreciate the fact that he helped us to the most successful years this franchise has seen.

    Great post.

Granted, this will be Schaub's last season, but I really hope people don't just focus on this one season to judge Schaub's entire body of work.

He ran Kubiak's offense well before the league solved it. He was consistent and serviceable for a good stretch. He'll be a good backup somewhere.

I'll never understand the hatred some have for these athletes. This is supposed to be about fun and entertainment. A break from life's real worries. If you're getting seriously angry at complete strangers over a game, it's time to look inward.

Thank you for leading Andre Johnson to the 1 yd line and no TD.

Thank you for throwing a terrific INT on the first drive.

Thank you for ending your Texans career, and doing the best thing we couldve asked for by throwing deep and behind your receiver allowing the game to end with an INT.

Wish you the best in your career, and it wont be with the Texans.

I dont blame schaub, Its not his fault he sucks. I blame the idiots who saw greatness in him and signed him to a ridiculous contract.
