People who want to reduce the number of guns in America are authoritarians, and letting them get their way paves the path for destruction of the republic. Pay attention.
I saw some lady on CNN sawing her gun in half. It is truly remarkable that someone thinks that would help anything. She either believes that the gun will get up and fire at someone on its own or has thoughts of killing people...... Mental issues.
Guns kill nearly 1,300 US children each year, study says https://www.cnn.com/2017/06/19/health/child-gun-violence-study/index.html
People who wish to erode civil liberties in order to empower the state are authoritarians, and they exist on both sides of the aisle. Of course, that might be over the head of some.
I can easily point straight to the end game of gun rights activists who are funded by the NRA. There are profit margins to be had. Obviously Bushmaster wants to sell as many of their semi-automatic rifles as possible. What exactly is someone like Nancy Pelosi get out of you not having an ar-15? Please elaborate the long-con here because I'm really lost on what they are trying to accomplish .
No. It's not black and white. The meaning of people actions are easily lost if you use a heavy filter. I didn't watch it, but I'm guessing the message is she believe that children live > her ownership of gun. Giving up a right because you believe it has and will continue to cause too much harm (like dead children) is a message that might resonant with others gun owners.
You do know guns get stolen right? What's your thought on asking people to flush their pain pills so kids don't go stealing them?
I also know that if you keep your guns in a safe like my house hold that they do not get stolen. Pretty simple strategy. She went the drama route with the saw instead of letting logic be a factor.
"Drama route?" What % of gun owners do you think also have safes? Or even trigger locks? http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=117480&page=1 http://lawcenter.giffords.org/guns-in-the-homesafe-storage-statistics/
Well of course she did. Drama and emotion is what is driving this hysteria instead of logic. I only wish it wasn't so predictable.
I'm glad you keep yours in a safe(as do I) but it's still possible to steal guns from a safe. Yes, a good deterrent but not foolproof. http://www.nbc15.com/content/news/MPD-10-guns-stolen-from-house-safe--468868213.html
If you can find one with some weight to it. Mine clocks in at 320lbs including weapons. That isn't getting carried out of a house in a short amount of time. Either way, if you have guns and do not have a safe, then you deserve to have your guns taken from you.
So it's drama and emotion, not "trying to take out the citizens" means to retaliate against a tyrannical government". You keep on switching between those two motives .
