The 4-game loser streak is over. Yordan does Tri Crown things -- 2 HRs, 3 hits, 2 RBIs Blanco survived a game. Abreu threw 98 mph -- ERA slowly un-embarrassing (5.45) Peña holla'd at a salami. Hader very shaky in a non-save -- 3 hits, 1 run, 0 Ks. Closers want saves like starters want wins ✌️
Yainer Diaz is terrible. Miami is solid so this is a good win. Everyone talks about Yordan’s feats… but he is also extremely smart. It is pointed out but he sets pitchers up better than anyone in baseball. He will let strikes go by him to get the same pitch later in the game or down the line. I have seen him miss velocity to fool pitchers into throwing it later in the count or throwing another pitch in the same location. Bonds and Gwynn were amazingly smart but didn’t approach it the way Yordan does. Last guy I can think of that was as good as Yordan at fooling pitchers was Manny Ramirez. Yordan doesn’t have the collecting stats of Bagwell or Biggio or even a Berkman - but I think he may be the most overall gifted hitter in the Astros history - Berkman is only other I can think of and Berkman lacked the work ethic Yordan has.
Walking backwards to 6th. Altuve at cleanup seems dirty. Trammell hasn't done much in a while, he's due (unless he sucks).
