It not really rushing when he hits .300 at every level he has been at in the minor leagues. Plus I am not saying promote him the big leagues. He deserves to be AAA this year.

I am not a fan of Ed Wade at all but I got to give him credit for getting Angel Sanchez for Kevin Cash last year. Sanchez probably isn't a everyday SS but he is a solid player all around.

And he will be by the end of this year. Being stuck at AAA playing against a bunch of guys who can't quite cut it in the ML isn't going to help him.

Astros' starting pitchers are hitting .438 this year.

this umpire is annoying, can you call a strike any more emphatically?

also waiting for the pitching meltdown...

6-1 lead....big enough for the bullpen to keep us in the lead? Love the hitting our pitchers have been doing this season.

Glad to see the bats come alive today but it's gonna be a real long season if they have to hit this much to win. They're dead last in the majors in walks and have worse than a 1:4 BB:K ratio.

Good win today, 2nd time around for the rotation has been what we expected. Offense can be middle of the pack if some of these guys perform up to expectations and a few exceed. Need to get the bullpen figured out, not all that upset over the injury to Lopez.

The team Ed Wade has assembled does not walk. We should expect the Astros to lead the league in their lack of walks.

My wife and I even decided to get the "10 for $20" deal... taught her how to keep score and even printed up custom scorecards for the 10 (now 9) games we're going to. The first game was a blast...

Yes, keeping score distracts you from how awful your own team is, but I still root hard for the 'Stros... and always will.

Does anyone find it weird that the 3 best batting averages on our team are pitchers?

That one of them is Happ, who only had 4 career hits coming into this season. I find it much stranger that Towles and Sanchez have been our best offensive players.

if it happened over a 9 game stretch in July, no one would even notice.

My son and I went to Saturday nights game. Found cheap parking, ate overpriced food, but overall it was a great time...with my son...

However, the Astros' just plain suck...

The bullpen will lose a lot of games for us this year, but so will the starters...We have really no clutch hitting, or hitting to speak of...Yeah yeah, I know its early, but there are no clear leaders/stars on our team...This will make it a very frustrating and long season, IMHO...

On a side note, we sat in right field and was able to watch Pence warm up...He has an akward/spastic delivery when he throws hard...kind of like a hard head twitch to the right side...very ghey looking...oh, and the guy in front of us had loose pant that kept falling down when he stood up and showed everyone in our section his crack all game long...ugh...
