Dam, Good play by the Marlins, might have let it go foul but to close to tell.

Rough inning for Bud...big batter to keep the club in the game.

Norris making Bourn run tonight. Tough inning, lets see what we can do with Johnson, if anything. :(

Honestly, I am the most confident in the Astros getting something productive at the plate when Bourn is up there. He is legit.

    Bourn with the amazing effort.

Do you guys remember that rundown he beat out (or almost beat out) last season?

He went back and forth like 10 times.

    Huh???

I'm guessing that Berkman made that decision.

He's pulled that off a few times in his career but I don't like it.

yeah i've been watching MLB tonight live and they just turned it to live coverage of the astros game and showed Lance getting caught stealing. Harold Reynolds was just laughing at him haha. Great timing ehh?

I think I remember hearing them talk about how Berkman usually calls his own shots on the basepaths - at least more than most other players.

I'm not sure if that is still the case under Mills. I'm interested to hear whether Lance freeLanced on that play.

Lance isn't a great baserunner by any means so I am kind of surprised they would give him that kind of freedom.

A lot of basestealing comes down to deception and timing. Pence has good speed but has been caught nearly 50% of the time. Carlos Lee, on the other hand, has a much better success rate with a significant number of stolen bases for somebody of his size.

Lance is good at catching teams off guard but obviously failed on that effort. I've seen him successfully steal 3rd a few times over the last few years. I can't remember many times that he actually got caught trying to steal 3rd.

True, I remember Coops first year the guy was on pace for a 30/30 season before they put the brakes on the squad.

Dam Q, I know 3 hits are a lot to ask but at least a flyball.

That was a quality Tavares-esque hit by Matsui.

Tavares was the master of mi****ting balls and getting infield hits. I think it had to a lot do with his awkward chopping-motion swing and obviously, his speed.

Edit: I guess you can't type mis-hitting...

Blum isn't a very good hitter but he has had several clutch hits over the last 2 seasons.

He was pretty clutch against us with the Sox, too, no?
