This is for some of the “old school” Astro fans… but Braden Shewmake reminds me a little bit of Bill Spiers. Just seems like he’s got the potential to carve out a solid career as a super utility guy. At the same time, he probably plays in the wrong era. But he seems like he would’ve been a solid guy to have in the late 90’s, early 2000’s. Also, if I remember correctly, Ben Zobrist had a similar vibe as a prospect. Just a utility guy who was traded for 68 games of Aubrey Huff (I’ve dreaded trades with the Rays since then)- he turned out to have a hell of a career.
