    I said before the season that the Astros could not overcome a significant injury to Yordan Alvarez or Framber Valdez and it’s looking prescient. If Alvarez is healthy all season they’re likely in the drivers’ seat for the #2 spot in the AL and are lining things up to optimize for the playoff run. Instead Alvarez has missed over 100 games and they’re gettin shut out in the first game of a do or die series.

    Mariners have the better rotation and lineup. It took awhile for their GM to finally wisen up and fire Servais and actually acquire good hitters. That combined with the Astros having the most injuries in MLB history is finally going to get them their first AL West title in about 20 years. That futile streak was bound to end eventually.
