If it wasn't for 2 Bryan abreu meltdowns against the mariners, astros prolly be looking at 5-2 or better yet 6-1 against the mariners this year.
Hey - wife out of town with son… day drinking for me today too. I went for the Three Floyd’s Zombie Dust Ice. You ever come across it I highly recommend it.
I admit I was red hot pissed until the Walker home run. I just wasn’t in the mood for their LOB bullshit today. that being said, this team has the knack FOR THE COMEBACK
Yes, but it rains all the time in Seattle, and they are some of the nuttiest and rudest people in the world. I traveled there a few years ago, and everywhere we went, we were treated horribly for no reason.
Um. You went back and edited that after you were told that you were wrong. I guess that means Chas probably worked on it? No?
He is such a great story and hard worker - teammates call him a leader… I’m glad for him and I hope he gets it going.
No. Seattle has **** weather. It’s wet all the time and the sun is only a rumor. Nice to visit on a trip or live there if you are born there or have no need for sunlight.
I think the overall caliber of coaching is down from the Luhnow/Hinch era - but Dana Brown is very experienced and hired some exceptional people at the top of the scouting/player development department, so I suspect the minor league and player development groups is robust. I haven’t been terribly impressed with the staff Espada has - but it’s also a lot easier to look good when you have Tucker, Alvarez, Bregman, Springer and Correa on the field. Miller & Murphy play a huge part in the Astros pitching success and Brown also arguably has the best eye in baseball for talent. Makes sense the Astros have identified good pitchers.
Are we at the point where coaches can make more in the youth ranks, (charging whatever they want to deliver whatever results they can) through the college ranks (where you don't have much/any offseason training?). Whoever has the most money wins?
