- Altuve 2-HR game - 12th of career - McCullers 4.1IP (season-high), 8 Ks - Walker got a hit !!! - Aircraft multi reached base (single, BB), 2 runs and solid defense - bullpen continues the stampede -- 4.2 IP, 0 runs, 7 Ks
1) plenty innings to fill with LMJ only going 4.1 2) 2 days rest 3) Sousa unavailable after pitching 2 Innings yesterday 4) expecting Dubin multi-innings again after 2 IP on Tuesday was pushing it Espada is highly, highly suspect -- but throwing King was acceptable.
Vs teams > .500 17-14 Astros ..9-13 Mariners Mariners have had the easier schedule so far and has struggled against decent/good teams.
Don’t ****ing believe anything Joe says. Rumor has it he has dropped his line up card in the shitter at MMP 4 times already this year… If Espada was waving you across in traffic, would you trust him?
Seattle offense 163 runs over their first 31 games (5.3 rpg) 64 runs over their last 18 games (3.6 rpg) I figured it was all smoke and mirrors early on, a couple of hitters batting way over their pay grade have come back down to earth, it's back to a HR or bust offense just like last season. Their lineup is garbage.
LMJ is looking a little more like himself every start. There was a couple of years worth of rust to knock off.
Pen availability for tomorrow Hader Abreu King Sousa Dubin Whitley Unavailable Okert Questionable Ort
Agreed except for Dubin He pitched 2 innings on Tuesday, then 0.2 Thursday (yes, even though only 11 PC). Give him, at minimum, one day off -- prob 2. Sousa shouldn't be MI* available. *MI = multi-inning... that's the abbreviation going forward
This is the equivalent of throwing Abreu in the 7th up 9-2 on last year's team. Certainly you're not buying what you're selling. This is a critical 4 game set and we need make a statement,. Wasting your clear #3 in the pen is just plain dumb.
Yes I'd put him in the questionable column. You are correct. All the more reason to take a crap on how Espada used the pen tonight. Sousa is now your long relief. Better pray we get more than 4 innings tomorrow from the starter.
Who would you rather pitch during this critical 4-gamer you mentioned. The lead was 4 runs when King started warming. You gave strong words to the contrary of my post, yet didn't offer a solution. There were 4 points I made, yet you deleted 3 of them -- that's a lame move. Address each point if you choose to respond.
