So good seeing Tucker contribute. Looks much more comfortable. Want to see it against some better teams, but it’s encouraging.
67 pitches for Cole through 6. Man... Trying to think of a way to keep Cole this offseason. Free up money by trading Reddick? Maybe Jake is gone too? How about trading Greinke? Just spitballing here.
Haha, Yea that ain’t happening. Baseball is one of those games where it can become relentless scoring. I wonder has any player just stood there and taken pitches? Alvarez is a MACHINE today
Isn't Cole getting at least Kershaw money this offseason? Which is 31+ million. I want to keep him too, but damn. He's probably going to be the highest paid SP in baseball next year. Watching the former Felix the Great should inform all of us of the risks of giving pitchers gigantic longterm contracts. Felix has made over 80 million the last three years, to pitch 86 innings at 4.36 ERA, 155 innings at 5.55 ERA, and 50 innings this year at 6 ERA. And he's only 33. It can go away really, really quickly. EDIT: I'm glad this time seems to be the charm for Tucker. It was nice knowing you Reddick.
