Pitchers will make adjustments... Alvarez will start to level out... unless he's literally the greatest hitter in MLB history. Its really not going to be a major issue.... or Bregman makes it easy on everybody by continuing to slump, and then he goes towards the end.
Kemp is now 4-4 with a walk against Gonzales, that explains why Jake isn't in the lineup today. Reddick had a great AB. White stared at a very hittable 89mph arrow straight pitch for strike one, fouled of an even meatier 89mph arrow straight pitch for strike 2, decides to not protect the plate and stares at a pitcher's pitch for strike 3. Absolutely *had* to put the ball in play that AB. Oh yeah.
Why on earth wouldn't you challenge that bobble? Altuve looked good going down the line, reports of his demise have been greatly exaggerated. Loved the oppo single earlier. eta: ****, could've cost us a run
Vogelbach never moved on a ball that was 3 feet to his right almost hit his right foot. He's a brave man to stand that close to Yordan without catcher's gear on.
More likely it will take something like double cheese burgers to get his attention The Shark, the Whale or the Flounder?
I had the same surgery he had at the same time he did and it's a major surgery. It's pretty damn amazing how he is doing. 6 months is typically the recovery time and the orthopedic surgeon said it normally takes a full year to finally feel the same. I think by October, no one will question his health by then.
I'm convinced that what ended White's batting ability was just watching Adonis Yordan in spring training. It was like Chris Farley vs Patrick Swayze. He was cooked.
Love the comparison. Howeeevah.... Yordan in ST: .265 .357 .327 .684 eta: also, you shouldn't say "cooked" too much around Tyler White
I guess Alvarez is O.K.!!!! Either pitchers are going to figure him out or he is going to be an All Star.
Players with b2b walkoffs in franchise history..... Yuli Gurriel ('19) both extra innings Geoff Blum ('09) Derek Bell ('96) Rafael Ramirez ('91) Craig Biggio ('91) both extra innings Doug Raider George Culver
Cole is playing for something.... roster in the All-Star team. No sloppy pitches. The Mariners are such a bad team that they could of stole bases on Cole last inning. He wasn't even paying attention to those baserunners.
