8 and 9 spots are weak .... Hope we aren't biting ourselves this game. Guess with mchugh hinch doesn't think we need all our fire power
This, in my opinion is the domino effect of having Lowrie out of the lineup. Not only do you have Margo/Villar in the lineup every day now you have both of them in the lineup when you sit someone. Really starts to weaken the lineup.
I think the bigger thing is starting Marwin at 1B in the 6 spot while also starting those two. Putting MarGo in front and Conger behind Marisnick means Jake from State Farm ain't gonna get much to swing at.
I think it shows they don't feel comfortable with Gattis at 1B. I think Marwin & Carter have split all of the 1B time.
I mean if we want to give Carter a rest it doesn't matter. Have to play both Marwin and Villar and it doesn't make sense to DH one of them.
It doesn't look like anything is wrong with him physically. He just put pitches on a platter in the 2nd.
