Yeah, but it was good that Williams didn't have a stellar outing. There was no need for the Astros to think twice about DFA'ing him.
He is a good guy... and will be going home with $2 million that he didn't really earn this year. Not going to feel too bad for him... he probably was mis-cast in the bullpen, never really knowing his role, and never getting any regular sort of rhythm due to the sporadic work (but at some point, he has to have a non-awful outing to justify his roster spot...) He's been a starter for most of his career... and that's probably the best bet he has to prolonging his career at this point. But there's no room for him to be a starter here.

Presley now 3 for 5 since moving to the 2 hole. How dare you question Porter's genius. jk Probably just seeing better pitches batting in front of Jorge.
Well, there was an early thought that Correa would possibly be available for the fall league... Luhnow basically said that's now unlikely to happen, and they're focused on getting him back by next year's spring training.
Haha.. didn't realize he'd been hitting well before the move. And apparently, the posters who were dogging Porter for the decision on page 1 of this thread didn't realize either.
