I have no idea about the theories. They were just what other people mentioned to me, and I hadn't heard of them before. I would be disappointed if the Hurly's mind theory was true, but even that wouldn't be discounted by portugese guys. I guess if the producers say it isn't the case then the theories are probably just someone's guesses. I certainly hope the one about it being in Furly's mind is false. I agree that it would be lame. The only thing that lends it credence is that Hurley's dead girlfriend was seen in the backstory as a patient in the psych ward even though on the island she claimed she was a therapist.
I don't know, for some reason last night's episode seemed really hokey to me. Spoiler Rescuing Ecko from a polar bear? Where did Locke even get the 'peyote'? Locke on a weed-growing commune? It's all even more random, and dare i say, stupid than everything that's happened before. While I'm at it, I'm convinced that Stephen King is some kind of consultant or ghost-writer for this thing. If not, then the writers definately read and are borrowing many of the elements of his Dark Tower series (I've only read 4 of the 7 books, but the similarities go on and on). On top of that, characters have mentioned King twice (When Henry asked for reading material while imprisoned, and in the book club).
Season two when saywer was on that raft, when he fell in the water there was a shark with the dharma sign on it. I think Jack is being held in the cages where they first held the sharks.
If that's the case, then King is doing a helluva job keeping it a secret. He's a guest columnist for Entertainment Weekly, and in his column, he's mentioned that he loves Lost and that he has no idea where the show is going. Plus, before the season started, King interviewed the Lost writers for EW's guide on the show, and in the article, he was continually trying to pump them for any information he can, stating he was a huge fan. So, I don't think he's involved with the show. However, there are constant rumors that King is actually the author of Bad Twin (i.e. he's Gary Troup), so who knows.
They didn't escape. They were in there when it blew up. The same thing that kept the passengers in the plane from dying when it hit the ground kept them from dying when the hatch exploded. Desmonds clothes were apparently rippecd off tho.
The one thing i find interesting is that in Lockes Vision, everybody is in a airport, waiting to get trough the gates. The airport personal are the others, and Hurley and Desmond. Jack is the first going through the gates, and Saywer and Kate are next in line. I think this must be some symbolic meaning. I think Jack will be the first one tested by the others(they are already doing this). and Kate and Saywer will be next. I do not know what else to make from it. But i think that scene will be very importent. Also Desmond knows more then he is telling(example him knowing of the speech).
Does anyone know the significance of Hurley looking at Desmond tossing the rocks at the end of the episode? He mentioned deja vu, but I don't remember anything like that from earlier episodes, so what significance was that?
Locke had just given the speech about going to rescue Jack, and the other captives. Earlier in the episode, prior to making that speech, Desmond told Hurley that Locke was going to rescue them, and that he said so in his speech. Then Desmond said something like, "Oh that's right you haven't seen it yet."
That's right...Damn, how did Hurley get so fat...I mean, he's been on that island 60 plus days and he's gained weight... I thought the episode was a little slow and boring, IMHO...This weeks looks good....
They show them in Holland, but they are behind, season 3 hasn't started yet. therefor i do not watch them on tv but I use the torrents, and mostly watch them in the weekend.
I think it was the first episode of season two. Michael, Jin and Saywer were on the raft, walt was kidnapped. Michael and saywer were in the water holding on to the wood of the raft. And there is a shark in the water with them.
I just started watching lost recently and just got caught up on all the shows. Anyway, has anyone else caught on to why Locke refers to Sawyer as James? Spoiler Locke father is a con man. Sawyer took the name of the con man who scammed his parents. I think that Locke's father is the man who conned Sawyers parents. He knows that his father went by Sawyer, and it brings up bad memories so he refuses to call Sawyer by that name.
