Does anybody understand or condone Sun's bizarre and inconsistent behavior through-out the Lost seasons? Her bi-polar actions make no sense. She always annoyed the heck out of me. How could Jin stand her? Yet I find a lot of people sympathetic to her
The great question that has never been answered, and which I have not yet been able to answer, despite my thirty years of research into the feminine soul, is “What does a woman want?” --Sigmund Freud
I think the two women, Sun and Kate, bother me the most. I try to justify in my mind how she (Sun) could act the way she acts sometimes, but I can't. Both of them are too independent to a fault. Sun is a pregnant woman and yet she insists on going on a dangerous adventure around the island. Then she agrees to allow themselves to fall into a firefight. I know she's trying to win her independence from Jin, but her behavior is irrational. I mean if I had just been attacked and nearly kidnapped from my isolated garden, I probably wouldn't want to be there alone by myself the very next day, but that's exactly what she did. Kate is just inept. For someone that is so great at running, she gets caught awfully often. She tried to act hard with Pickett who just turned around and shocked Sawyer. If I was Sawyer I would've just looked at her thinking, "would you just shut the eff up." Then when Sawyer starts the fight, Kate just sits there acting like she doesn't know what to do. I mean, you haven't already been in a bunch of fights, ran from cops, and killed a man, yeah, let me just sit here and do nothing even though I'm holding a pickaxe and my captors are attacking my boy friend.
Ok, finally caught up...Kate is freakin' hot...I always thought she was, but that dress... Spoiler I'm really digging Sayid and the combat story line...I'm sure he'll get a chance to kick some arse...I find it hard to believe Sawyer doesn't know they're being flimed...That doesn't make sense to me...The whole Sun thing was ok...I do believe Jae is the father and that is why she's crazy...She really loved him but knew it was wrong and brought shame...wh*re...
Interesting back story on Locke, but otherwise this episode doesn't advance the island story much at all.
Ok sorry i haven't read the thread so far(haven't watched the last episode). But does anybody know why you hear Hyena's on the background the entire time? I know they had polar bears and sharks, but now also hyena's. So aperantly it was a big biological experiment.
have they disclosed how Locke got paralyzed? i don't remember. Spoiler i thought it would be shown last night. i was thinking the cop would accidently shoot Locke in the back
I know the story last night was mainly about Locke, but I think the most interesting thing was Spoiler Desmond somehow knowing the future of Locke's speech and how that happened. Any ideas? I have heard two different theories on the overall show. Theory 1: is that they are all dead, and this is some type of pergatory thing for them. Theory 2: Hurley really is crazy and this is all just taking place in his mind.
I'm pretty sure the show's creators have said this is not the deal. If I remember correctly there was a made-for-tv movie with this exact premise back in the 70's. It might have even been the inspiration for Fantasy Island.
Polar bears were introduced in season 1. The cage that Sawyer is stuck in was the Polar bears cage. Fish biscuits... Dharma was apparently doing some experiments on them. It was also theorized that Walt was conjuring them after he saw them in Hurley's comic book.
The Dharma projects facilities apparently were doing some sort of testing on animals, hence the shark with the logo and the polar bears. Last nite's episode was good, think Locke is a very intresting character but man has he been a sucker plenty of times in his life. that being said, someone mentioned it earlier, Desmond's line was the real mind bender
Both of these theories have been repeatedly and strongly denied by the producers. The end of last season, when the blast is detected by the two Portugese guys in the snow observatory helped cement that the island is a part of the real world. Desmond's beard last night was much longer than it was when he triggered the fail safe (a day or two ago in Lost time). Did he somehow go two weeks into the future? Strange. Evan
