Finally saw the episode last nite on line. Thought it was a pretty good episode but kind of figured that whole thing with Lockes dad being connected to Sawyer a bit back. What I did enjoy was seeing sawyer that vunerable and real, he had no quick come backs just anger when he was in the with the 'real' Sawyer, great stuff
Spoiler The same way he said. He was in a car accident, placed in an ambulance and the next thing he knew he was on the island. I suspect the same folks who brought Juliette to the island did the same to him.
For next weeks ep: Spoiler Roger Work Man's name was in the previews (thanks tivo). Roger is the dead guy from the van that Hurley found, and there is speculation that he's Ben's father. he'll appear in a flashback next week.
Damn, nice to know they have a concrete idea of when it all wraps up...giving us reason to think they are actually going somewhere with all of this, but waiting a full year for 16 episodes is going to suck huge, giant donkey balls.
I read an article about the show in Entertainment Weekly right before it came back this year and they talked about how they have been dropping subtle hints that will pan out and show they have thought up the main crux of the story from the beginning. One thing they talked about was that you need to pay attention to the skeletons Jack and Kate found in the cave in season 1.
yea these half seasons sucks Battle Star Galactica Stargates Nip/Tuck The Shield etc all this is the NEW way of TV and it sucks Rocket River
ABC finally dropped the hammer on the producers over the show. Falling ratings + gigantic budget = bad news. I strongly doubt that the format (16 episodes per year) will be the only major change we can expect. They've already started to steer away from mystery piled on top of mystery, and I expect more philosophical/fundamental stuff to come in an attempt to save the ratings. Big kills would fall into that category. I have my doubts as to whether that really was his dad (on two levels). Is it in the realm of possibility that this was Smokey? We've seen that it can read minds and become a manifestation of someone's past (Eko's brother). Can't it be possible that Smokey has been: -Anthony Cooper (Locke's dad) -Kate's horse -Hurley's imaginary pal Dave -Jack's father -wet backwards talking Walt -Sayid's victim's cat etc, etc Evan
With all the things that happen on this island, I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he survived. But we may not know anything definite until next season.
This episode was Friggen nuts! Spoiler How the heck was Albert a grown man out in the jungle when he met Ben for the first time? He hasn't aged any since. Ben is one vicious dude...and I haven't even gotten started on the ghostman Jacob.
doubt he died, that jacob could be the smoking monster. ben sure killed a lot of ppl on his bdays lol.
At the end I thought Ben was going to show Locke the VW van with his father. Only it wouldn't be there 'casue Huley had driven it off somewhere.
For a second when they showed the empty chair where Jacob was suppose to be sitting I thought the camera was going to show that rabbit that Ben carried around when he was a kid, Hehe.
