GREAT Episode tonight. Cleared up some things. I'm pumped for next week. BTW that face that Juliet makes is really annoying.
yea the "i know something that you dont know.. you know i know it.. but ima be a b!tch and not tell you" look
Jack pissed me off at the end. It's OK for Kate to reveal something to him but he can't reciprocate and tell Kate whatever secret he and Juliet have been hiding. Total douchery there.
this was the best episode yet of all 3 seasons..and next weeks looks even more intense and yes, it looks more and more to me that jack has become one of the others
best of the season for sure... best ever, i wouldn't go that far. certainly cleared up some questions, like what was locke doing. glad sawyer got his revenge... though it adds to the question of where are they? locke's dad getting there could be explained by the IV in his arm, kept him asleep until they were ready to wake him up???
man i feel confused as hell after watching this one, season finally better be a nice big, "Ooooh I get it now."
I could see people getting confused if they believe the old man and think they're in hell or purgatory. How do they travel/communicate between worlds etc. Although I'm pretty sure it's just a red herring thrown to the people who have been predicting it's purgatory from the beginning. There's still the question of how Locke's dad got there and the "magic box" metaphor. THEORY: Spoiler The "magic box" is a metaphor for the people that are ultimately in charge of the island. Anything the Others want, they can get because the man in charge has that much pull and power. Enough power to control the media and make the public believe Oceanic 815 crashed in the ocean with no survivors. The people who made the "discovery" are either part of the organization or were paid handsomely. They caused the car wreck the old man was in, sedated and captured him, and brought him to the island.
They caused the car wreck the old man was in, sedated and captured him, and brought him to the island. The same way Juliet's boss was hit by a bus. There are people who aren't on The Island who are in charge. I think we'd need to go back and find the internet information from a year or two ago about the Dharma Initiative and re-read it. As I remember it, one or more ultra rich eggheads discover an algorithm that predicts ultimate disaster for mankind and setsout to use radical experimentation (in six disciplines?) to change the inevitable. My guess, from the outdated and left over facilities on the Island is that their initial efforts yielded failure and in fact may have actually created a something they cannot control (the law if unintended consequences). Ben's band, Julliette and The Man from Jacksonville, Russian Patchy etc. I think are those that have been sent in to try and salvage the initiative, Though Ben and Rousseau may be descedants of the original initiative. I still don't understand why Jack and Juliette didn't pack all the beachies off to live in the other's camp once they had abandoned it. Those little bungalows with electricity and a foosball table would be so much more comfortable than the beach.
I don't think they caused the bus accident, but it didn't happen on it's own either. Whatever force that caused a whole plane of people who are connected in some way to crash onto this crazy island probably caused that bus accident because Juliet was meant to be there as well.
I thought this was a very good episode, best of the year if not the series...I don't get the heaven or real life thing...Sawyer doing the deed was priceless... They found the plane in Bali? Now Jack won't tell Kate the truth because no one trusts him? I thought the Pirate died? questions and more questions...can't wait until next week...
I'm not talking about the electro magnetic discharge, I'm talking about all of these people with all kinds of connections to eachother all being on the same plane. I don't want to call it destiny, but I can't think of anything else. Besides, how do you even plan that bus accident?
I'm assuming he ran through that electromagnetic fence barrier(or whatever the hell it is) because he knew he would be zapped and lose consciousness while appearing to be dead but not really be dead. Then, he would regain consciousness and go about his business while being free from Locke, Sayed, Kate, and the French woman.
