Sun already bought the pregnancy test before the flight, which would suggest she was already a few weeks pregnant (missed period). Evan
The Island is one of the 12 portals of the Beam--The Portal of the Fish, I would think. On Lost's level of the Tower, sissy boys like Jack are revered. As far as LEAVING the island, mayhap there be a thinny in yon ocean; one ye must pass through to reach The Tower. Time is a face on the water, so they say. (Sorry) Haven't posted in months and I start weaving Stephen King illusions. I have been re-reading the Dark Tower Series and it dovetails nicely with Lost. As an aside--the bookclub reading is "Christine" when the plane goes down...
My guess is that she hooked up with Michael. Remember when he was checking her out in the buff and she just stood there??
Correct, but wasn't it implied that she KNEW he had pregnancy tests because she carried hers onto the plane? (Kate asked about the odds of their being preg tests in the wreck) I could be mistaken, but that's how I remember it shaking down. Evan
I don't recall that. Not saying it didn't go down like that, but I don't remember getting that impression.
According to lostpedia, she was 7 months pregnant when she arrived on the island. She claimed she had the baby by herself, and the smoke monster took it a week later.
do you all think that when both sawyer and kate were locked up, they meant to make kate's cage easy to escape. maybe they knew that kate wouldnt leave unless sawyer could escape too, in which he couldnt. that way, they somehow have sex, and kate becomes pregnant as well. now, kate becomes another pregnant woman for the others to experiment on.
Thanks for fact checking. The smoke monster took it? Not the Others? Are you positive about that? Evan
Yeah because i remember her taking aaron out to the beach and lighting a beacon of sorts saying that the others were coming to take the baby
I think that was the one weakness with last week's episode. Had they let the audience get sucked in, and possibly believe Juliette was with the survivors it would have been more fun. People would have wondered, and possibly gone back and forth on which side she was on. It was sudden and not smooth flowing to all of a sudden unwrap her whole story in the last few minutes of the show.
Yeah, I guess they could have strung it out. Then when Julliette finally goes back to the others after a week, have a "Usually Suspects" type flashback montage and revelation.
Minor spoiler about who has upcoming flashback eps Spoiler • No. 17: Desmond • No. 18: Jin and Sun • No. 19: Nontraditional flashback time • No. 20: Benjamin • No. 21: Charlie • And the two-part season finale: Jack No. 19 isn't centered on one character, but it flashes back to the mysteries of season 1.
I think they are trying to make you wonder why the Juliet who would kill Ben to leave the island would conspire with him against Jack, who saved her life, as well as his friends. Of course, one option is that the whole 'kill Ben' and 'trial of Juliet' were staged to get her in tight with Jack and that once he showed her pictures of her sister and kid all was well... But my guess would be that the internal strugle in Juliet between Jack and Ben is going to be important in the finale, so they need to set it up that she has divided loyalties.
Has there been any rumblings about how many seasons are left in this show? I'm just wondering when it's going to start making some f'kin sense! Regardless though, I love it.
My understanding is that ABC asked for them to strech it out. I think they had 4 seasons planned but added to the original story ark. I'm almost positive that they plan for either 2 or 3 more years.
