yes, true...(btw: this is all in "I Love Lost" tongue-in-cheek analysis...don't over-analysis this with me, it ruins the fun I get out of talking about it.) so, yes true...the French chick has had a long time to learn...but Sayid saw her in action...and everyone else did too....she had to figure it out on her own. knowing what he knows...my point is that Sayid of people should know not to try ambushing the others without getting the French chick to advise him first. lol I mean, if I were an Iraqi intelligence officer during the Iran war (right?), and I got taking prisoner by a 50yr old wild women, basically an aborigine on this island, and then saw her in action again...then to have noticed no one else (even Locke) can stop from being ambushed themselves... ummm....it wouldn't take me much more than 2 1/2 months to figure out that the French women is the queen of the island and you need her on your side. If she won't join forces with your camp, then I say screw your survivor friends and grab some bigs from the gun locker and go join forces with her. mount an ambush on your own with her. haha i mean, sayid got out flanked on his own ambush. so sad!
To be fair, while we did learn where the other taken survivors are, we also learned that they are apparently unharmed and certainly not unhappy where they are. And they do remember the other Losties. What pissed me off more than anything is that they had Carl with them during all that time on the main island after they sailed back, and the most they pumped him for info was asking what they did with those they kidnapped. This is a guy that was ONE of them. He KNOWS things, and he is pissed at them and obviously cooperative with the Losties, so he probably had no problem offering up info...but they didn't freaking ask. Freaking annoying. Overall, it wasn't terrible, especially if you didn't watch all the commercials that claimed there were big reveals (which I, fortunately, didn't). Did anyone recognize the symbol that Juliet was "marked" with? It looked semi-familiar...but I couldn't place it.
It looked like an upside down palm tree, and almost exactly like those islands they are building in Dubai.
The Three Dog Nights music after the car got started was ingenious. Really had me pumped! The show is back on track, WOO HOO!
Cannonball, haha, did you remember my last two posts from last episode. Took just about 2 1/2 months for someone to finally learn something on this island, and that is to mount an ambush with the French chick. lol
Ho hum episode, didn't particularly like it aside from the last min or so. After so many serious episodes, this ones light hearted tone seemed very out of place, I know the producers are probably trying to break up the drama a little but it just didn't fit for me
Well, Hurley's dad and Mom are probably living it up with all his money. Or they finally realized it was cursed.
i actually enjoyed this episode quite a bit. one of the things i think that has turned me a bit off to the show in season 3 was the lack of characters. the first two seasons made me like a lot of the different characters on the show and season 3 so far has really only focused in on jack, sawyer and kate. the "others" do not have the same appeal yet as the original characters. seeing this hurley-centered episode was good. he is probably one of my favorite characters on the show. its a small victory for him but its still a nice victory for him considering all the stuff he went through. the back story on his family was good too. granted it didnt progress the actual story line too much, but it was a good episode still, better than some of the other ones they've had this year. hopefully the show will pick up some steam during the downtime of heroes.
Same here. I did enjoy this episode in spite of ABC's promos blatant lying yet again, but it's painfully obvious that the writers have absolutely no clue what they're doing or where the storyline is going.
It was a classic Lost ep, loved it. I needed this filler episode. Lots of laughs. I have faith that the main storyline has been plotted out, but they have just been making everything else around it up. I think the season's gonna pick up now. Sayid should have an ep soon.
I think ABC is damaging the show with their promos. Let's say these promos get more people to watch, what's going to happen? They're going to judge the show based upon what the promo promised. Promises that are basically sensationalized BS. Then they're going to feel lied to and stop watching. Then when the major stuff starts happenint, they're going to promote it and nobody's going to believe them. ABC, please stop crying wolf.
Not to belittle your complaint or anything, but P.A.L. (Promos Always Lie) is a standard in the marketing of television shows. They show someone getting shot, but someone else gets killed. They show someone saving the day, when really that person is the reason they were in trouble in the first place. All promos are supposed to do is peak your interest. There's no truth in advertising
