i remember why i dont' watch this show when it airs on tv: commercials commercials commercials and more commercials
well that was interesting... we got to see the hydra "hatch" and a bit more of their camp. that's about it. get on to next weeks episode with the action!
Commericals commercials commericials commercials, Why bother making the show one hour, its basically 30 minutes.
Jack was always the whiny b****, but now we get to see his obsessive girlfriend side. What a miserable donkey.
No freaking kidding!!! My wife and I watched the first two seasons for the first time on DVD with in the last couple of months. We got hooked and thought we couldn't wait until this season's set came out next year, so we decided we would watch it on TV. I felt like I saw more commercials than show. I think the name of the show implies to how I feel. I saw the first ever show thinking I was going to be watching a drama about people stuck on an island. It quickly turned into what seemed to be sci-fi. Now, I don't know what the hell is going on. I hope Echo survived. For some reason I really like his character.
For a season opener its was too small of a story, it was totally Jack centric Next week looks to open thinking up a bit
i realize i'm not as smart as most of you... but i think you should just be enjoying the ride. the show isn't going to end anytime soon. just enjoy the episodes...the creators are telling a great story that has tons of americans tuning in from week to week to learn just a little bit more about this mystery. it's compelling story-telling. nit-picking each episode is missing the point, i think.
i see more people complaining about the commercials than the actual episode. ok, probably more like 50/50. it's hard to stay focused when every 5 minutes you say to say yourself, "Ahhh, another freakin' commercial!"
i DVR'd it, so we fast-forwarded through. but yeah, there are lots of commercials. that, of course, is how they pay for this expensive production.
I agree. SPOILER I like that we saw where the shark and the polar bear came from and that the book club was talking about a Stephen King book (since he is rumored to be the ghost writer of Bad Twin) This episode moved a little slow for my tastes, but these first 6 episodes are supposed to end with bang, so I'm interested in where it's headed.
Jack is whiny, but turning his dad in for being drunk was the right thing to do in that season. It's not like he had a great relationship with him in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out he did do his wife.
I liked how in the first portion of the show the girl darn near revealed the name of the island when the "earthquake" hit.
