Not immaculate conception. My guess would be that with these drugs, an in-vitro fertilization would become possible, even with a sick patient.
Is anyone else thinking about calling it quits on Lost?? I think I might tune back in whenever ABC decides to make and air the final season.. The show just doesn't interest me anymore..
I think you mean in vivo. Whatever she was injecting in her sister may have caused parthenogenesis, development of an embryo without male fertilization. In vitro experiments are performed outside a living organism.
I agree - no sign of a father anywhere (though a positive pregnancy test doesn't make sense one day later so who knows). In vitro would suggest a test tube baby. Follow up question would be how far back that flashback was and if that child was carried to term. Definitely has implications for the island, since it seems as if the Others can't conceive (the kid snatching). The clockwork orange room was creepy. I wonder if Ben told Julie he wanted the kid planted in the other camp as a sleeper agent. Evan
Did you see the Guide before last night's episode? It answered a few questions that I had and gave me sort of a renewed interest in the show. I was feeling like you prior to it. It just didn't seem the same this season. I'm guessing it will get better.
Holy crap...I haven't watched it yet, but I switched channels to the USA vs. Mexico soccer game while it was recording...I think I missed about 30 minutes, but did record the last 10, which is probably the most important...
If you have lost interest in Lost tune out. I think it is still one of the most interesting shows on TV and I'm glad they have been slowly answering questions while creating new questions to be answered. Todays society is so hooked on instant gratification that they can't stand suspense or mystery. I guess for this reason alone Lost will lose some viewers but I think it's a great show and can't wait for each new episode.
I completely agree. It is great television and the reason why shows like 24 are losing my interest. Lost has great acting and writing. It is one of my very favorite shows!

Now the show is just being recycled every year. Jack gets jacked and jacked up. Someone gets tortured. Someone has to tell him what he needs to know and who they are working for. Jack freaks out. Someone is on the inside. I just don't see it holding up much longer. Well, not for me at least. Shows like Lost and Heroes are doing it much better.
