Would you guys take an embarrassing loss if it means Savage gets the start for the rest of the year? Or would you rather have another close win with an unimpressive Osweiler performance, which allows him to start the rest of the year?
I have nothing! I don't talk Texans with him. If it gets brought up it gets brought up. I will always pass on to my Clutch brotherin when it comes around. This one has actually been brewing awhile! Players thought Savage was better in camp and some media members reported that too.
Chris Clark just needs to do what is necessary for the team and whiff on a few pass rushers. Maybe even push one to the ground from behind right when he's about to tackle Brock in the backfield. Problem solved.
Yeah, I think they'll win. Have 2 TD's this game.....they are obviously better at home...still not good...but better than the pile of crap they are on the road. Brock....le sigh....
What reason do we have to believe Savage will be any better? Heck no I don't want any more embarrassing losses this season.
Osweiler is historically bad. I never imagined he could be benched in these 2 years, but I never imagined he would be this bad. But we have no idea what Savage is either
No reason to believe Savage is worse. No reason to believe Savage is better. Of course, had they not placed him on IR, maybe they(we) would have already seen whether there was something there or not.
Don't doubt this at all. Hopkins stares daggers at Brock, and looking at his body language after missed pass after missed pass screams out "get me another QB!"
As I mentioned before. Savage was the lockeroom favorite out of training camp via the players. If Brock plays poorly against the Lions it would be a good time to insert him.
It's not surprising when you think about it. He was benched in Denver for Peyton Manning who could barely throw the ball, then he comes to training camp and immediately starts throwing interceptions
My issue with him is that throwing motion. It is not efficient. My guess is he ranks as one of the worst in the league in release times and he lacks the accuracy to make up for it. Texans dropped the ball on this one.
