I guess this is a good place to put my two cents about Kyle/McHale situation: First off, Kyle Lowry is an amazing point guard. A point guard that can score, rebound, and dish out is okay with me. What more do people want? Plus, he is only going to get better. Let's not forget the incredible number he put early last last season.

In regards to his request for a trade, I think it's reasonable. He isn't happy about losing and he shouldn't be. I believe the frustration that led to the trade request comes from inability to win close games through inconsistent substitutions or inefficient substitution Kevin Mchale made late in the game. Do we remember our 4th quarter center, Luis Scola? I think we do. SMH. Furthermore, McHale doesn't necessary have a winning history in the NBA to enforce or trust his system. So, it's reasonable that players may doubt his coaching style. So, what can players do on a team when we they are losing because of the coach? Talk to the coach, yeah..right. Doubt McHale would like to hear any of it. Talk to Morey, the asset collector. Doubt it. Les? doubt, players have even seen him. So, what's the next best thing? Request a trade!

I love the Houston Rockets but there is something very wrong with this organization right now. I may not see the full purpose of these all these moves but it seems just like any other year - full of promise with no results. DMorey has been the biggest disappointment so far with his trades, seems like he should stick to statistics and leave the general management duties to someone who can analyzing talent.

By the way, this isn't a shot at Scola, he is a "consummate professional" in this league. I hope we can all agree on that.

Since Lowry might be having a change of heart,it's important to keep him. He can help Royce White out. Lin is better than Royce, but he isn't worth 8 M a year, and Dragic wants probably more than that.
I say forget em,and just go with Kyle and Royce. It's not the best combo, but I think it can still work.

His attitude for 3 years was just fine

Hows your boy Dragic's attitude looking right about now, stop looking at athletes as role-models

i think weve kindve written off just how good lowry can be...

his injury really hampered his shortened season... if theres one thing he is its a fiery competitor.. you cant discount that.. hes tougher than dragic and maybe if completely healthy wouldnt have let the team fold like it did late last season..

Goran is just fine, smiling, enjoying his FA-cy. I don't know what's wrong with that anyway...where's Lowdrich btw, still pissed on everybody, wants to be traded or is he still whining about things that happened in the past?

Great thread and long overdue. Lowry ran this team last year and deserves to remain a starter here.

I don't blame the Rockets for trying to trade him though. We obviously need to capitalize on all our assets to get a star here. Instead, we have just lost Dragic for nothing.

Oh well, here's to Lowry staying!!

I would love to keep him but honestly he truly deserves to play for a better organization. Remember all the buzz about trading him to give way to Dragic/Lin and now we go back to Lowry simply because we have no choice.

yes lets all get behind lowry now. if mchale wants to keep his job hes gonna have to make up with him. we all saw what happened to cousins and the coach he got fired. and dont forget that there are more frugal options out there for a backup pg (assuming ny matches our offer sheet to lin). just take a gander here http://hoopshype.com/free_agency/point_guards.htm

Looks like Lowry is the last man standing in Rockets red.
