I don't really get why a parent would interject himself into her campaign in this way. Seems like something he could have taken up with her privately.

I still think that normally a father would not try and hurt a daughter's bid for the presidency. He could have talked to her privately and asked her to clarify that she was joking about her father's side of the family and that he was clearly against it. That way, if she introduced it, it wouldn't look so dysfunctional.

She made a joke about Jamaicans smoking weed ('cause you know, that's never happened before). Her family did not appreciate it for cultural and practical reasons. I just don't see the huge deal...and for the record I don't like her as a national candidtate at all. ETA: And here's a fun vid from 2 of the man's kids - the man who did more to bring that stereotype to the world than anyone (sorry Peter Tosh) - and there's not even any pot smoking until the last minute or so. Might loosen some of yall's asses up a bit.
I know I am not well-versed in trump talk, but I have no clue what you are babbling about. Yea, I realize that you are programmed to attack any Democrat candidate, but what throwing family and heritage under the bus did she do by saying she smoked pot in the past?

Seems pertinent since (1) she is hoping to run against trump and (2) if you think its fair to criticize Harris for real or created issues it would seem reasonable to apply the same standard to trump. After all, if Harris has hired illegal aliens to work in her golf resorts, sexually assaulted 19 women, or conspired with russians it would be reasonable to hold her to the same standard as trump.
