Do not trust many of these polls. There is a HUGE disinformation campaign going on trying to suppress votes for Harris. Trying to make people think their votes won’t matter.
I take them all with more Than a grain of salt. I don’t think they should be ignored but I don’t think daily polls are very definitive.
I don't know about the widespread conspiracy here. I think it's just more likely that culturally there has been a shift in what is considered cool to be aligned to. Back in 2012 almost nobody would say publicly they were an Obama supporter because it was setting yourself for likely getting publicly shamed by the person you were talking to because sentiment was soooo negative on the right. This is the case especially with Biden where the sentiment out there is just really really negative to the point where I do believe voters are going to be scared to say they are Biden and now Kamala supporters especially in swing or red states. Back 4 years ago when the sentiment was incredibly negative on Trump we know that Dem supporters were much more enthusiastic to tell a pollster they were voting against Trump, and enthusiastic about voting for Biden. So I don't think many voters have changed their mind about Kamala and Dems over the past few weeks as much as they just don't want to tell people they do because it's so obvious that anyone asking could be a Trump supporter who will try and shame you because Trump supporters are LOUD AS HELL this election cycle, and it does suppress Kamala supporters in speaking out. So I think it's more likely a "silent majority" cultural situation than it is a big media conspiracy. I do think the media definitely wants a horse race for ratings of course, but I don't think they are capable of having a widespread agenda across all COMPETING platforms without it leaking out that the other guy is fixing the system.
Deep State gotta Deep State. Kamala Harris Campaign Distances Itself From ‘60 Minutes’ Edit Controversy: ‘We Do Not Control CBS’ Production Decisions’ Here is Harris’ longer response, which aired in a teaser on Oct. 6: Whitaker: Does the U.S. have no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu? Harris: The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel. And when we think about the threat that Hamas, Hezbollah presents, Iran, I think that it is without any question our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks. Now the work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire. And we’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders. Whitaker: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. Harris: Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. Here is Harris’ shorter response, which aired during “60 Minutes” on Oct. 7 and appears on CBS News’ online transcript: Whitaker: Does the U.S. have no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu? Harris: The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles. Whitaker: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. Harris: We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.
Her answers are overly wordy but I don’t see anything particularly wrong with them. We do see a double standard that Harris criticized about word salad while many just give a pass to Trump going off on nonsensical tangents like talking about nuclear war when asked a question about labor.
I think one thing that is different now than in even 2012 is that the speed and reach of social media is even greater. Bannon talked about flooding free zone with bullsh^t and we’re seeing that even here with almost hourly posts of tweets and other things that are easily disproven. If anything disproving them just speeds up the rate of posting.
I don't think it's a conspiracy - it's out in the open - the big broadcast - digital media likes Trump, their owners think they'll be able to soak him for $$$, and ratings, and political journalists see themselves as main characters in the drama so they downplay Trump's incoherence, pure hatred, and cognitive dysfunction to create a fictional version of him to run a close horse race against Harris (who, like Biden and Clinton - is held to a much higher standard)
I love how Trump and his MAGA followers flip and turn things around... So when Trump does something it's ok... Its a great thing or it's Trump being Trump... But when his opponent does it... OMG the world is coming too an end... MAGA can spin crap around and make it look like they and Trump are perfect angels.... Even the Obama remarks about speaking to black men.... But on the flip side it's ok for Trump to say illegals are taking Black jobs... What the Hell is a Black job anyway? I just shake my head at all of the whining that MAGA does.. T_Man
