This isn't remotely true. A simple look at Wikipedia, or passing knowledge of American history, shows that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_primary#History All of this disingenuous hand-wringing is funny because: The Democratic party would've fielded a candidate if Joe Biden had died before the convention. The Republican party would've fielded a candidate if Donald Trump had died after the assassination attempt. The GOP tried to overthrow the will of the people in 2020 and disregard tens of millions of votes.
The thing is, you are incredibly partisan so will never say about Trump "yeah he did good there". So when the likes of Newsom can say it and gave reasons why, you keep trying to not acknowledge that part of my post because it goes against your narrative.
Support... Hell she was at the DNC https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...erstin-melania-trump-harris-dnc-b2599467.html "Doug Emhoff’s ex-wife has declared that she’s a more fierce supporter of her ex-husband’s wife Kamala Harris than Melania Trump is of her own current husband Donald Trump." T_Man
I can absolutely say when Trump did something well. Parts of his response were fine. The response as a focused concentrated effort was horrible even if some parts were handled well.
MAGAts flailing yet again US job growth during much of the past year was significantly weaker than initially estimated, according to new data released Wednesday. The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ preliminary annual benchmark review of employment data suggests that there were 818,000 fewer jobs in March of this year than were initially reported. Every year, the BLS conducts a revision to the data from its monthly survey of businesses’ payrolls, then benchmarks the March employment level to those measured by the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages program. The preliminary data marks the largest downward revision since 2009 and shows that the labor market wasn’t quite as red hot as initially thought. However, job growth was still historically strong. When spread through the prior year, the average monthly job gain from April 2023 through March 2024 was 173,500 versus nearly 242,000, an analysis of BLS data shows. “It is important for markets to remember that these are not job losses, it is just that the job count was never that high,” wrote Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FwdBonds in a note Wednesday. “The economy apparently did not need those phantom ‘lost’ workers, because robust real consumer expenditures powered very strong [economic] growth in the second half of last year.” Whatever happened to the “Kamala Crash” they were fear mongering about?
No you can't, even when I gave you quotes from the governor of the most populated/left-leaning US state. This is why you skipped over it and are only now trying to say "he did parts that are fine" because I called you out.
We need to do something to massively change the tax structure in this country so that the wealthiest can't easily avoid taxation. A wealth tax and taxing unrealized gains have the same goal, but one is easier to regulate. The details are where I'd be unsure. When you read the details of the Biden Budget proposal, which is what I assume would be the same, its very intriguing. Its actually akin to paying estimated taxes. But implementation would get very complicated as written.
Just looking at the crowd the past 2 nights, it's all shades and shapes of America, it was very uplifting. Michelle should have gone last IMO, she is next level, she is charismatic, clear and concise and she knows when to throw in a zinger. She was so right about not taking anything for granted, there is a great buzz, but we must do more, and we must get out and get the voters to the polls. As I said yesterday, I don't normally watch these but DAM, I have been glued to my TV for the big final speeches the last 2 nights...................the thing I love about the left vs the right, its ok to disagree within your own party, have a debate. The maga gop has simply ruined the party and if you don't agree in everything trump then you're a POS loser, once they dump the orange man and maga I will be happy to look at their candidates in the future, but for now I am on the Harris bandwagon
"and in that space between us, politicians and algorithms teach us to caricature each other and troll each other and fear each other." - Barack Obama
MAGAts misrepresent stuff hoping no one does the actual research, they are lazy in their arguments and have nothing to pitch to the American people other than hate, and division, they have a proven FAILED economic plan, and continually put this country in further debt, while pretending the Dems are the problem. The best thing that could happen is Harris wins by a lot, and can get things done because once the American people actually realize the GOP has been stealing from the poor and giving to the rich and that they are much better off under Dems. It will be a much better country. DD
