I thought we actually alright against the spurs in the regular season, JVG is a Poppovich wannabe so it kinda neutralized all the boringness and let the players play, too bad we did not have Yao for 2 of the matches

For all the people that can't stand JVG, why the hell do you all have such a hard talk NOT talking about him anymore?

    :D

that being said, i guess taking cheap shots at inferences a guy didnt make allows them to feel better about the rockets. It gives them some false hope that it was jvg stupidness that didnt allow the rockets to win...not the fact that outside of yao/tmac the talent is mediocre

Do you know before Yao had a ball, he was defended by double or triple team?

That's exactly why we need an "official" thread. ;)

The three things that are not going away anytime soon are the JVG talk, Mike James talk, and V-mac talk. You want things to get worst let V-mac leave for Greece and not play for the Rockets. In 5 years guys will compare him to the Dream. His legend will grow faster than William Wallace! :D

Someone suggested a death match thread. Only DaDakota and SamFisher can post in it. They can slug it out on JVG, up-tempo offense, Boki, Vspan, etc.

We all just watch until one of them (or both) gets banned permanently. :D

Dude, you cannot make such a sweeping assumption. JVG has also left out players like Dwayne Wade, Allen Iverson and Ray Allen. I believe JVG had his own meaning when he made that statement. Unfortunately, he also left it open to misunderstanding.

I think it at leasts raises an eyebrow that he didn't mention a guy that he just coached for 3 years who's won multiple scoring titles and is a 6'8" perimeter player. He also led a team which everyone seems to think sucked to 52 wins with Yao out a bunch. Not to say that VG's not right, but coaches don't usually do that kind of thing. As good as Bryant might be, he's certainly not unique in any way. McGrady isn't as good but he's probably more unique.

Can we trade this guy already? I was excited to get him, before he proved nothing on the court, but GOD am I sick of reading about the guy in nearly every other thread.

Mac against the spurs was awesom. he scored the pretty much the wining bucket with 40 seconds left. that was our best of the year. he scored 37 points and pretty much carried us all night.
