The corporate media the pundits and wealthier Dems are all in for Joe Biden and are trying to make it look like a movement as the moderate Dem candidates drop out and toe the line. However, Joe has a total of one Field Office in California 23 for Bernie. Joe cannot get enough folks to have a large rally Joe was never the first choice of virtually any Dems. Southern overwhelmingly rural and somewhat older African Americans in So Carolina are very different from African Americans in big cities. The three biggest cities in So. Carolina have a total of 129,000, 120,00 and 97,000. When Joe says things like "vote for the other Biden if you don't like me" or you should all be sure to vote of "Super Thursday" why does the media never ask about his medical records?
[Premium Post] The Democrats are making a big mistake by pushing Biden over Bernie. There is no natural enthusiasm for Biden. His movement is a panicked, forced compliance type of effort in order to try to prop up a candidate that the party elders think can beat Trump. It's also a way of trying to control voters (who party elders believe need to be controlled), which never works. Democrats are crazy to think that a candidate like Biden, who is in obvious cognitive decline, and who has almost as much baggage as Hillary (corruption, Burisma, sniffing and groping of women, plagiarism), can fare best in a general election. Bernie, for all his flaws and absurd beliefs, at least is authentic. Biden has never been authentic, even when his mind still worked. Honestly, I look at Joe Biden and see someone who should be in a comfortable assisted living home right now. His energy is a tiny fraction of what it used to be when he was running losing Presidential campaigns in the 1980's. This really speaks to how poor of a job the Democrats have done in developing new candidates. Rolling out a declining 78 year old man as a Presidential candidate with no charisma or enthusiasm is just begging to lose in November. He's a worse candidate than Hillary - at least she had the passionate ugly women vote firmly behind her. GOOD DAY
Trader Jorgethe right wing elitist (who claims to be so rich ) so reminds me of Hillary when she was sort of pushing Trump as she thought he would be so much easier to beat than Jeb. Hey Jorgecito, have you heard the recording from a Trump insider of Trump himself talking back in 2016 that he was so happy iirc that Bernie was not on the ticket as he thought it would have been harder to win. I think not; and I doubt many of the Biden folks have heard it either.
Even so the left is not gonna vote for Trump it's all about getting him out of office, so what does it even matter? Biden has not brain melted, he has misspoke several times but this old man senility take is way overboard.
Joe is now the youngest male candidate for the left. I like him better than bernie but his endorsement of sheila jackson lee is misguided.
I think this is bit overblown seeing how no women or POC gained any traction in the primary. Ideally you would want a woman or POC but I don't think it is as dire as people are making it out to be. I think Warren would be the ideal VP for Biden.
The left doesn't have to vote for Trump for a Biden nomination to go wrong. All they have to do is not vote at all. That will hurt the down-ballot races and also possibly give the nomination to Trump. What the left needs are to be motivated to not only vote but to work, campaign and get others to vote. If it is raining that day and people don't really like either of the candidates and decide to stay home because the lines will be annoying, and whatever other excuses they can make and don't show up, it's spells trouble. I have no idea if that would happen but it could. As I said, there are close to zero people excited about implementing a Biden agenda. Hopefully, it will work out if Biden is the nominee, but who knows after Biden's gaffes and a long embittered campaign?
Al Gore has numerous massage therapists claim that Gore asked them for sex while they were giving him a massage.
Asking from a "common voter" POV, who would be the best VP selection if/when Biden beats Trump, with his age and health factored in? Klobuchar?
I don't think it will make dems stay home, I don't see the logic in that, everybody has seen Biden and his gafes. Did not see that rally in Dallas last night there are people excited by Biden and more excited to vote Trump from office. Democrats are definitley motivated by their hate for Trump.
Do you think the DNC partly leaders being very open in their preferences in not wanting Bernie is pressing their thumbs on the scale that influences votes?
You may be right, but I also think the "excitement" that we're hearing right now is from people that want change and are trying to push that change. Incremental moderate change isn't exciting to the vocal leaders and moderate supporters tend to just want to go about their lives without really voicing their opinions often. However, it doesn't mean that Biden doesn't have his supporters out there...hell, he just won over 50% of the vote in South Carolina with other moderates still in the race. And, if he does win the nomination, Dems will coalesce around him...maybe not the younger voters as much, but Biden doesn't need a large amount of them to beat Trump. A lot of people are just tired of the drama at both ends and would love to just have a safe, moderate president that can hopefully stop dividing this country. Biden can offer that and Trump's attacks on him could end up backfiring on Trump if he goes in too hard against Joe. But, we'll see. We're only in March and a lot can happen between now and November.
So what about Trump sputtering every 1 minute? You keep focusing on 30 second soundbites and not the totality of what he is saying. Biden is not incable of talking and shows you are harping on an angle.
