The ONLY reason the Texans won the Bengals game was because Hoyer got hurt, if you actually want him back behind center it's hard for me to think that you want what is best for the team.....so maybe you should go root for the team you're actually a fan of.

Yates isn't good, but you have to really work hard to find a QB worse than Hoyer when you aren't in garbage time or you aren't playing an absolute bottom feeding team.

Maybe that says more about what they think of you personally than it does anything else because that hasn't been the case for me.

Kind of like how you'd rather have a quarterback with good statistics on a three win team than a quarterback with average statistics on a playoff team... Or whatever the quote was....

Yeah, we're all still waiting for you to define what a good quarterback is.

Hoyer, in a fairly small sample size of 22 games, has a better record than Eli, Drew Brees, Cam, Matt Ryan, Phillip Rivers, Stafford, Tannehill, Vick, and Carson Palmer among others. And mist of those guys have never had the pleasure of playing on squads as insufficient in talent as the Browns teams Hoyer started for.

    What does that even mean?

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here.

As if people from the northeastern US judge whether I'm from the perceived "good" or "bad" part of the state (through the eyes of a Houstonian, who may have a vastly different opinion than they do), based on judging my personality within the first two minutes of meeting me?

    Huh?

You're making a Tim Tebow/Mark Sanchez argument.....I don't think I even have to point out why that is laughably flawed.

Anyway, if that's the way you think, there's nothing I can do to help you so rock on guy.

What it means is that maybe you look like someone who would be a Cowboys fan. Do you also have people asking you if you like Nickelback a lot?

You said he costs his team games. I'm telling you he obviously doesn't, given his winning percentage (which is higher than the two guys you listed). How's that laughable?

I never said he was an all pro quarterback. I just used his record to show you that he, in fact, does not cost his team games as much as you seem to think.

And then you resorted to some half-wit personal attack. That was what was laughable about the whole thing.

Circular logic that doesn't even connect back to what you're trying to circle back to. Hmmm...

Whenever you get backed into a wall…you always respond with these types of comments that just give you an easy way out, so you can avoid losing the argument.

You've still not admitted to being wrong regarding the Mallett/Hoyer debate that you were so passionate about (unless you did so over the last few days).

I'm fine with you not understanding, it's not my job to teach you about football. I know you think what you have to say is important, but I think I'll stop responding for now until someone that has a bit more to offer in conversation wants to have a football discussion. Think whatever you want to think and have a nice day.

I wasn't backed into a wall and I wasn't about to "lose" any argument. I was faced with a "just winz" argument and I reject those as simple minded.

As to the issue of Mallet or Hoyer, I haven't admitted being wrong because I don't think I am wrong about it. Hoyer shows up on time and has a better attitude, that's all he's got going for him. When we're talking about who you want on the field I still take Mallett....or Yates, or damn near anyone, over Hoyer. It was never about me thinking Mallett was good, it's that Hoyer is so incredibly bad. Without the Hoyer concussion, the Texans are 3-7 right now.

A "just winz" argument (which it wasn't, technically) was hatched in order to defend a quarterback against someone saying that that quarterback costs his team games. Hmm...makes no sense to me. At all.

And then the latter half of that post. Wow.

Come on, Bobby, be better. How are you going to educate us with posts like that?

All this new information on the QBs and you refuse to use it.

You are no longer the "Guru of New Information."

I'm taking the title away from you.

    LOL Hillarious

    In other news.
    The Bills are now 5-5.
The Patriots look very beatable...especially with a good pass rush.
The Bills and Chiefs have to play each other.

There really hasn't been anything new, Mallett was cut for being late and Hoyer proved yet again in the Bengals game that he's just terrible when it isn't garbage time and he's playing a team that isn't an absolute bottom feeder. None of that is new.

    Well you're right.

Mallet has always been horrible and Hoyer has always been average.

    And you remain confused.

    Nothing new.

Please direct me to a game this season where Mallett wasn't garbage. He had his chances and Hoyer has b**** slapped him both on and off the field.

Mallett did better against good teams and when it wasn't in garbage time than Hoyer has....not that doing better than Hoyer really says anything, you can literally pick just about any guy off the couch that was an NFL QB at some time and most of them will do better than Hoyer unless it's garbage time or it's against a team like the Titans.

Hoyer getting a concussion might have saved the Texans' chances of making the playoffs, I hope him coming back doesn't undo that.

Pointing out disrespect is not weird.

Didn't take names, but this happens majority of times I'm outside Houston.. especially outside Texas.

Houston's own history shares some of the blame, but it's still disrespectful.

Actually, the main reason they won was because of their defense... The same defense you said was the worst thing about this team, how RAC no longer had any sort of coaching ability, how the coaching staff had "lost" the team, and how you confidently (stupidly) predicted them to get blown out by the Titans.

But you probably won't admit you were wrong about that as well... As you basically have been about every single one of your hot takes this year.

Be better. Most people get this drivel from sports talk radio call in shows.., actually, yours is worse because you insist on responding to everybody claiming how much smarter you are when it gets explicitly proven (via your previous posts) how off you've been in your ability to assess the players, coaching staff, and team overall.
