Well we are underdogs at home vs the Jets. Probably will be dogs versus Colts Buffalo and saints as well. Will be favorites against Jax at home and at Tennessee probably
They were 12 point underdogs yesterday.... and Vegas made a killing as money was coming in on the Bengals in droves. I don't think the spread is going to dictate much other than the fact that Vegas knows where to put the line in order to try and make as much money off the Texans as possible.... if Texans fans aren't confident about these games, there is no way in hell the general betting public is going to be putting significant money on the Texans either.
The sharps really dictate where the line goes. Vegas can't put a crappy line out there or they'll get smoked. Texans D has been great, but that offense is still putrid. Gonna be hard to be favorites on the road
Yates didn't score a touchdown. Hopkins scored a touchdown. Hopkins bailed Yates out like the government bailed out Fannie Mae.
The thing about Yates and Fitzpatrick is that they take more chances than Hoyer does (at least in this offense). When they sling it and make plays, it's awesome. When they sling it and turn it over, it's horrible.
Of course.... but if they win/look competent this week, with the Saints idle and in disarray defensively, I highly doubt they'll be underdogs against them. Its obviously a dynamic process... up till 2 weeks ago, the Texans defense was actually performing worse than the offense.
No. People are looking at stats and think he did. He threw an interception that meant nothing. Also, he had a concussion for one drive and wasn't hionself.
I thought he played solid all things considered. He wasn't turning the ball over which was a positive.
A year ago, a soothsayer told me that in one year's time, we would be playing against the jets, ryan fitzpatrick would be their starting qb, and tj yates would be ours. Crazy.
I didn't come away with that... should have had a TD on that FG drive, which got stalled in large part to the idiotic decision to run a predictable hurry up, and predictable run play, at the goal-line. He was actually starting to pick apart the zone pretty well on that drive... if it wasn't for them continuing to try and force the run early, he would have probably had better overall numbers.

Nothing to worry about yet, in regards to Hoyer. That seems to be SOP when someone is in the concussion protocol. We should know by Friday if he'll be released from it.
