The only explanation I have for this team is that Cushing found his old roid stash and also gave the rest of the defense some.

romeo said they changed things and they have. cushing is no longer thinking, he is attacking the middle off stunts. we were always great at stunting. we've also send more than 4 at the qb from time to time as to very little in the first 4 games. most importantly, they remembered how to tackle.

The D seems a lot better since Clowney left.

yep and it we see they utilized Clowney today effectively and he caused the Jets all sorts of problems playing alongside Watt..none of which will show up on the Stat sheet..he even had 2-3 pass deflections

In defense, they kept both Mercilus and Clowney on the right side. Also in the beginning of the season, teams were running on the side of Watt. They adjusted by making Cushing play shading towards the side of Watt to keep an eye on the RB's on Watt side so they can let Watt loose w/o worrying about big gashing Runs. I am liking the adjustments.

Next game is going to be tough but if our offense doesn't make any mistakes than Texans defense will stop Brees.

You know what, I'd be totally ok with that. If you're not cheating you're not trying and at least that would mean they're trying

I know up and close that the Patriots offense is not what it used to be. Dion Lewis is out. Edelman is out. O line is is patchwork. We gotta see how they do against the Bills tomorrow night.

BTW if the Bills lose to the Patriots on MNF, does that put us in the playoff spot for 6th seed?

The playoffs basically run through us. We control our destiny.

We still have three division games while tid for the division lead, and our tough schedule includes a few wildcard teams.

Can we make this the main forum? This team doesn't deserve to be a sub forum.

I felt bad for Fitzpatrick. He averages 2 interceptions a game.

He's less of a physical specimen than Andre, but it makes you also wonder if the TD problem 'Dre had was really all the fault of his QB's.

Because right now I would rather have Hopkins in his prime than 'Dre in his. Some of the greatest hands of all time.

Hopkins isn't even in his prime currently. Athleticism isn't everything with wideouts. Hopkins just flat out has better hands and it seems like he jumps higher on jump balls than Dre ever did. He reminds me a lot of Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald was smaller and not as fast as Dre, but had better hands and was better at the jump ball and as it stands now, Fitzgerald is going to have the better career than Johnson ever so slightly primarily because he has a boat load more TDs than Dre.

One thing I forgot to mention was that Dre is significantly better than Hopkins after the catch. Dre was a beast once he had the ball. That is the one aspect of Hopkins game that is just mediocre.
