If they can't beat the Jets how can they beat a team that took the World Champs to OT? I happen to agree with Matt 100%. They say what we are saying.
other than DeMeco Ryans, Mario Williams, and Andre Johnson, no one on this team deserves big money right now.
Kubiak says, "I did a bad job preparing this team this week." THIS WEEK??? Dude, this was the first game of the year!!! You've had MONTHS to prepare for this game.
I am not one to be fair weather or jump off when things are tough, but this was embarrassing. You can take a loss if you are at least competitive. This team showed nothing. I have supported this coaching staff from day one and to this point thought it was ridiculous that Kubiak should be worried about his job. But this team was not prepared at all. Like I said, I put most of this on the coaching staff. The staff had no answers for anything
Maybe going 5-1 in their last 6 games, the run that gave birth to all the hype. Going 8-8 after starting 0-4 having to go through the terrible first month for the city, let alone the team. I honestly really don't care, man. It's not a big deal to me. I love Houston sports and will cheer them on. I really do not care about the constant negativity. Of course I'm disappointed, but I'm not going to sit there and give up after a game. Wah. Get over it.
Who is giving up?? I love Houston teams too. I'm stuck with them, either way. But to pretend they didn't flat out suck is just stupid. It's ok to be able to critcize the product on the field, especially when they ask us to pay so much to view it. By the way...it's classic that you pointed to one 5-1 stretch as the lone time this franchise has ever been "up."
Texans are a buzzkill. Just like last year in Pittsburgh, they completely killed the anticipation of the season.
It was a hypothetical, champ. We could be playing the Steelers next week and I still would've utilized the ever-present "if". Hence, the hypothetical. So once again, if the Texans beat the Titans next week, you will hear the media here signing a different tune, like they always do. To think the Houston media is anything but fair-weather, at best, with any of our sports would be pretty ill-advised.
I couldn't watch the game, because they gave us the Cinci game here. I've read most of the comments here on the offense, but just some questions: I know the would have 1, 2, or 3 more blitzers than we can block, but were they shifting the line according? How much time did they spend at the to get their checks in play? Did Schaub hot route or change the play at the line? Was Schaub actually running 3-step drops & shotguns to help him get some time, instead of him continually using 5-step drops? Did it seem that Daniels, Slaton, and WR were running their routes right?
They're not fair-weather...they're trying to be objective. What they saw freaking sucked and they're calling it like they saw it! Did you see something different?? Dominated by the NY Jets at home with a rookie QB and a rookie coach.
I agree I'm not jumping off by any means, but this is ridiculous. No reason they should not have been prepared
The answer is probably no or poor to all of your questions. The fall began with the O-Line and everything else crumbled from there. They were either poorly prepared, or vastly under-estimating the Jets. Either way, it was a poor effort.
what?? whatever makes me feel better?? do you think i'm feeling guilty about criticizing the Texans??
I love the texans but this sucks. It's like we had an offensive line from the canadian league. My morale is really low. I was actually watching Ncis reruns.
If you honestly think our media here in Houston is anything but fair-weathered with any of our sports teams, then you are seriously ill-advised. Wait, I just said that. So you're telling me if the Texans win next week, that our entire media isn't just going to hop right back onto their jocks? Please.
