I think my biggest problem with this game is the fact that this team was not prepared for week 1. How the f*** can you not be prepared for week 1? I've been a big Kubiak supporter...but this is on him.
less than 20 seconds remaining, denver down 1 on their own 13 and they have the ball.. ball thrown, tipped by defense into the hands of another receiver who happened to be in the right place at the right time, runs it for an 87 yard TD, now they're up 5.. freaking lucky
denver down 6-7 at their 17 a pass down the sideline tipped by bengal CB up 3 yards and more in field caught by Denver stokley and taken for a TD with 11 secs left. This is after Palmer led the Bengals on a great drive to take the lead in the 2 min drill.
Absolutely soul crushing words from Johnny McClain in the chron already... http://blogs.chron.com/nfl/ I still can't believe what I just witnessed. The worst performance by a Texans offense I can remember. A defense that gave up three touchdowns and a field goal to a rookie quarterback starting his first game. Now the Texans have to go on the road to play the Titans. They're looking at an 0-2 start when 3-1 was expected. Anyway, congrats to those of you who picked the Jets. You were right on. And to those of us who actually thought the Texans would win, well, I don't know about you, but I'm hanging my head in shame.
dude. it's BOB McNair. Steve McNair was the Oilers, Titans, and Ravens QB. He also passed away a few months back.
Brandon Stokely of Denver caught a tipped ball off of a Bengal DB and scored a TD with 11 secs left. Heady play was Stokely running along the end zone line before going in to burn a few seconds off the clock.
After getting totally humiliated today I don't think we are in any position to be dissing *any* other team (like Ryan's embarrassing taunting penalty while 10-0 down).
