DaDakota, no offense but your fishing on the QB hate. Did you see the way Kris Jenkins just punked our center, and isn't just a coincidence that his name escapes me, we have no idea what a good o-line is in Houston, it's quite apparent but they have handled the blitz exceptionally poorly today.
Key to the Jets win. Rookie QB with zero NBA experience outplaying the veteran Houston QB. Yes, the Jets brought pressure but Schaub did nothing to avoid it. Sanchez on the other hand rolled out of the pocket or ducked under the pressure when needed to make many of his passes.
No, NO, you're making yourself sound even more ignorant.. he had 3 freaking 300 pounders running at him, Superman wouldn't be able to "move away". blame the sorry line, not the quarterback. Schaub is an above average QB with limitations, but put him behind a decent line, and he'll be just great.. Too bad we completely ignored our O-line problem since we were the "3rd offense in the league" and we went all out on defense, which still sucks, by the way.. I don't know which is gonna be worse this year, Texans football or Aggie football.. geez it sucks to be me
I don't think Schaub is all that good, a little pressure and he folds up.... But the line nor the scheme has not helped much either. LOOK AT SANCHEZ MOVING AND DIVING to avoid the pressure and get that first down. Man, to have a dimension like that playing for the Texans. DD
If that's your order, you should be b****ing more about the scheme and o-line... not calling Schaub a wuss for being unable to withstand multiple unblocked rushers. Again... he's not the coordinator, he's not the one calling the plays, and he's not in charge of the game plan.... AT ANY POINT. If you're starting to talk about moving pockets, gimmick rollouts, etc... those are the sort of things that reek of desparation and a non-talented offense. Not one that was the 3rd ranked last year and seemingly established. Today simply screams of the inability to execute their standard game plan, and then inability to adjust to the Jets defense when it became painfully obvious that the Jets were ready for them. The inability to adjust concerns me far more than Schaub's lack of mobility (which he was never supposed to have).
great post this is the same schaub. he wasn't mobile last year either. but they had no problems moving the ball with him. he was 6-0 at home last year as a starter. his QB rating was super high as well.
