The only time the Jets have visited Houston was in '03. The '04 and '06 games were in New York.

The '03 game was called by Kevin Harlan and Randy Cross. There was talk of having Greg Gumble and Phil Simms call the game to get used to Reliant Stadium prior to the Super Bowl being played in February. However, the Texans started sucking and so Harlan and Cross were given the game.

The '04 and '06 games were called by Dick Enberg/Dan Dierdorf and Gus Johnson/Steve Tasker, respectively.

The Texans/Pats game in '03 was another Kevin Harlan/Randy Cross called game.

I too would love a blow out win, but I think we get a closing minutes FG to seal the deal for a solid victory.

Jim Nantz has never called a Texans game. He has done pbp with Phil Simms since 2004. Before that he hosted NFL Today.

Head on over to the506.com It's a great site for these types of things.

In fact, here's the link to see the commentators for previous NFL games:

    Texans - 24
    Jets - 14

Texans score on TDs by Slaton, Chris Brown, and Andre Johnson, and tack on a FG late by Kris Brown to ice it. I really, really, really hope the defense comes out aggressive and assertive. I'm so ready for the "read and react" defense this team has had the last few seasons to die a miserable, violent death. I want to see a LOT of blitzes. Let's make the QB earn his paycheck.

Riiight. We get held to only 10 points at home?

I'm going to make sure I quote this post again after we win.

The Texans will have more than 10 points after the first quarter.

    Man, I hope so.

I can only remember one real butt-whooping, dominating, kick-their-teeth in performance by the Texans in their existence. I'm sure there are more, but I only remember the Denver game (I watched it with a close friend who is a lifetime Denver fan!).

Not sure we'll see it, but boy would it be fun!

Last year's MNF at home against Jacksonville was pretty dominant.
