    so true!

Anyways, may people have been really harsh on Lin lately and disregarded the fact that he's actually a better player than the horrible streak he had. All players go through a bad stretch and his back issues were part of the problem.

Howard was 17 points, 12 rebounds with a back problem. How's that ineffective? Lin sucked, Howard was still pretty darn good.

In the post game Calvin Murphy said the problem was his back injury.

Anyone know how experienced at playing while injured Lin is? I ask because if the back injury was the only cause of last bad stretch, then it's worth to look at whether this is just something he is learning to do and hopefully will improve or it's something he has been dealing with throughout college and in the NBA like Howard's back? (Not that he played much in the beginning).

Howard went from averaging more than 20 points and 14 rebounds a game in his last 5 years in Orlando to 17-12 in LA. It's relative.

Howard is a superman. Back problem means nothing to him. Jeremy Lin or even the great Paul George of the pacers, a back problem would limit their shooting productivity.

in nyc he played for a week or so with torn meniscus and finally decided to get surgery when he couldn't go anymore.

last year, he played all 82 games, some of them with sprained ankles.

so yes, he has played through injuries before. keith smart, his coach at GSW, told a story of him dislocating his shoulder and popping it into place himself, in practice, just so he wouldn't miss any practice time.

if anything, he tries to play through injuries too much, even when he isn't effective at all, like past several weeks.

not all injuries are the same, and not all injuries can be "played through". some effect your overall game more than others. based on players that have played with bad back (howard, parsons, lin, etc), and stories from those on the board that have played through back injuries, it looks like back injuries effects your game more than other injuries.

Don't you know it and so does that ref #77! I don't think he likes Lin. He practically watches Lin's head get decapitated and holds his whistle. Like Last night!!!!!!!

if he averaged 26 a night with no turnovers like on 10 shots a season, he might be worth his contract

That might be overkill on 5 million for THIS season.

Not surprised CometsWin is not impressed with Jeremy Lin, being that he's asian.

Just check the D&D. He's a skeptic (notice the remark he made about Lin's health, and the fact racism comes in many forms), except when it comes to the plight of African (or black) Americans, then of course he's quick to jump to conclusions.

We all know what his stance is.
